The hosts were very attentive and welcoming. The glasses absolutely spotlessly clean and food lovely. Go for the chicken shish kebab 10/10.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Hattie and all the staff at the pub made a very sad day of saying goodbye to my Dad a very happy one, a warm and friendly atmosphere and amazing food options all served with a smile.Instead of eating in Canterbury, travel outside of it and visit a real experience in a village pub. The welcome we had, was better than any mainstream restaurant I’ve ever been too. And I mean that! Thank you again Hattie, will be back soon.

Fantastic, can’t recommend enough. Friendly, warm welcome. Great varied menu, ate here in the evening and returned for lunch the next day (having walked out of the The Black Robin 5 mins away). Will definitely return when in the area.

Great country pub, very warm welcome by the Landlady, great food, lovely atmosphere, a great evening spent there with my family was enhanced by the Landlady's friendly character and humour. I thoroughly recommend this pub and will definitely return when next in Kent.

Great traditional pub with enthusiastic and welcoming land lord and land lady. All walks of life welcome here at this pub!Stepping in to the Duke of Cumberland Barham, the first thing you’ll notice is the contagious laugh and smile of the landlady Hattie. I’ve never met such an attentive land lady who cares as much about punters as Hattie does. There is a great selection of drinks at the bar, surprising for a village pub. Everything from gin, to rum to pales and larger, you won’t be disappointed visiting the local village pub. You’ll also be surprised by the diverse food menu here and the great quality and value for money! You won’t leave here feeling disappointed and like you could have eaten more.Thank you, Zaf and Hattie for bringing the life and soul back to our village pub!

Recommend this pub so much it’s so warm and friendly.Recently went to get a roast dinner on a friends recommendation and truly amazed by the staffs friendliness and professionalism. Beautiful food all made fresh to order and not a long wait couldn’t recommend enough will be returning for some more of that roast. There’s a good menu for everyone even cooks for vegetarians. There’s a playground for the kids a big car park and the pub itself is massive. Couldn’t thank the staff enough for everything.Thank you again

Myself and my partner have celebrated 30 years of being together. The Owners and staff were very friendly and the food is excellent. It’s made my holiday here much more enjoyable. 1st rate, a very lovely 😊 Public House.

We found this lovely pub completely by chance as most of the pubs weren’t open because of boxing day. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cosy with a lovely fireplace in the middle. We had the chance to meet the owners and they were so nice and friendly, would definitely visit this place again! highly recommended!
