No hassle. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Nice location, 10 min drive from Canterbury. Room is quite dated for £125 a night, but this is the age of hyper inflation! Main issue was the bed, worst mattress I’ve slept on at any hotel, felt every spring!! Aching so much! 3 star would be harsh as it was only the bed that let it down. The bar/pub is nice and the food is 5*

A nice property on a hill with a lovely beer garden. The food was good. I had slow cooked blade of beef with red cabbage & mash.Very tasty but I could have eaten a larger portion. Not sure about the beers served here. A bit crafty for my liking. I did notice a lot of people drinking Guiness as this was the only beer anyone was familiar with. The accommodation is separate to the pub.A converted barn affair. My room was clean and tidy with nice wooden furniture, double bed and Velux windows in the slanted roof. The bathroom had a nice corner bath with shower fitting although the shower was more of a trickle.Price wise, I have stayed in similar rooms for significantly less money. That said it did include breakfast which was very good.I had Kippers and poached egg. A large portion too. There was a selection of cereal, yogurts, juice etc. and a number of cooked breakfast options. Very good.I should mention the staff. They were friendly and attentive.and the check in / check out was quick and easy.I'd recommend, depending on your budget.

Clean, en-suite bathroom,,amazing powerful shower over a corner bath .Food good quality and generous portions.Very convenient into Canterbury. We choose to leave the car at the accommodation , and bus in , only 10mins from the centre of town .Only negative, is the bed . Need new mattress on the bed and any movement on the bed was heard .Welcoming staff .

100% I would visit here again. I spent 5 nights here for a work trip and (short of the fact I had to work for a few hours a day) it was like a holiday for me. The staff are absolutely fantastic and I've told my managers that they need to use this venue for all future events. The food was amazing, steaks were tender and perfectly cooked. The lamb trio is delicious. And don't pass on the cheesecake. Hand made and fluffy. I'd drive all the way back for another slice. The room was comfortable, has AC and heating so I was nice and cozy all evening. The showers are hot, and plenty of water flowing in the shower. Don't turn you back on the bath though, it fills up very fast.Tea and coffee in the room was topped up every day with another pack of biscuits.Down in the bar the staff are so friendly and very welcoming. And the kitchen staff were very helpful, when we had to depart at 7am a couple of mornings they had a couple of bacon sandwiches ready and waiting for us.

What a delightful place. A very warm welcome after a long journey. The food is nourishing and there's plenty of it. The room was cosy and a quiet haven after a busy day. The staff bend over backwards to ensure you have every comfort you need. Thank you.

OUTSTANDING! The Evenhill. Just spent 2 nights here. Food excellent. All Staff genuinely happy to see us and pass the time of day. Our room was lovely and quiet and everywhere was scrupilously clean including entrance halls, stairs, pub and our room. A comfortable stay. We would recommend to all. Excellent couldn't fault anything and we will definitely stay again. Annie and Steve.
