This is our 'go to' place for any special occasion. It is right near the river and has a huge outdoor section to relax in. The ambience inside is fantastic. We arrived just before sundown and the placed glowed! Staff always friendly and helpful, the Shiraz is lovely and the food is second to none. There is even a menu for low calorie eating and one for 'stick in till you stick out' people!!! The best place to relax and eat for miles around.

Visited this pub a few weeks back as having always driven by! It’s set in such an idyllic location within fordwich village it truly is lovely! Outside seating area, large car park opposite, easy to book a table! From memory we visited on a Friday or Saturday night can’t remember which and it was busy having been a nice day.. we arrived early but there was room in the bar area for a few drinks before we were seated! Staff were friendly and helpful, it was nice to see the owner maybe manager working the floor during a busy period nice touch!! The food was VERY nice I would recommend, we did wait an hour for the main dish however and did not order a starter! But again the kind owner offered us desserts on the house we just couldn’t fit it in 🤷♂️ well worth a visit you have my word

Have visited twice now. Made to feel very welcome both times, and fed great food that fits my family's varied dietary requirements (vegan, gluten free, small child). Great little spot.

What a cracking place. Sun was out so sat in garden and had lunch. Food was amazing. I had open Prawn sandwich and it was so nice. I would definitely visit again and maybe have a meal inside. Staff were so polite and friendly always happy to help. Big thumbs up this place 👍 👌

Excellent meal had by all the family. The lamb shoulder and beef bourguignon where both extremely tender and with lovely sauces and veg. The Malaysian curry was also excellent and the duck pancakes for starters extremely tasty. The pub was full, so booking recommended, but there was also a friendly informal atmosphere and a good array of ales.

Lovely pub to go to on a nice day, great for groups and very dog friendly. Great selection of food and drink on the menu. Does get quite busy but if the weather is good, the outdoor seating area is very comfortable.

Great little town to visit for sure!Apparently, the smallest town in Kent!Nevertheless, it has even ancient port, the Town Hall, very old Church of St Mary the Vergin, which located at the back of very popular the George & Dragon pub.You can also have a stroll along the River Great Stour too!At the end of our trip we had a luck to have our meal at George & Dragon too and I definitely recommend to visit it if you are in the area - the food is delicious and the staff there is very helpful and very attentive to your requests!Car park just across the road from the pub.Really happy with our choice of the weekend trip!

A really lovely evening. A little understaffed with wait staff but the staff they have are lovely 😁 I am gluten free and to have so much on offer with staff that understand is super rare and refreshing! Even the mulled wine comes with gluten free flapjack! ❤️ Would definitely go again the next time I am in this part of the country.

Pop in for early lunch after paddle boarding on the river. It was fully booked but they managed to fit us in on a pub table. Food was lovely, we went for small portions at reduced costs because it was still early, it was still plenty. Would definitely go back.
