I popped in for lunch while out for a ride on my motorcycle. An amazing Bacon and Brie Sandwich, my favourite Zero Alcohol beer, in a beautiful setting with a great ambiance. A great place to catch a Live Band too, had a great afternoon watching The Dial, a regular act that play there.

Grove Ferry Inn is a favourite of ours. The food has always been delicious and the setting couldn't be nicer. There is a large garden with plenty of seating, great for grabbing a tasty pizza and ice cream in the sun, as well as an indoor restaurant for a more formal sit down meal.

After avoiding the place for a long time due to a bad experience we decided to try again.Didn't let us down, good selection of drinks. Garden was lovely in the sunshine. Food was good. I had a pizza which was better than I expected. Would definitely visit again.

The food was great and portions were about right but to be told there was no bitter on at lunch time because the barrels hadn't been changed and to be greeted by a member of staff that were trying their best but was obviously new and completely out of their depth. The decor is tired and dated and to be honest then place has seen better days. The worst was that the more mature, and you would think , more senior staff were the rudest and the ones that seemed to care the least. Use to be one of my favourite places to find sanctuary but just a pale orbits former self now, really sad to see.

This place is definitely not what it was. The decor inside has been allowed to deteriorate, and the staff lack any kind of training. They're nice enough, just not trained in the job. The food is OK, but not worth the money if you don't enjoy the experience. They seem to be concentrating on the outdoor side of the business, which is fine, but the the inside should at least be clean.

I went in there with my friend a couple of years back , and I was not impressed by the guy who I think was the assistant. He had his arm in a plaster (not that that was the problem) and he was quite rude. He seemed to be getting irritated by my Friend and I because we didn't want to have lunch straight away, and his sarcasm was making me uncomfortable. The food was nice though, but i do not want to go back in the pub if that man still works there (I would recognize him if I saw him) this was back in December 2018 .

Lovely pub, lovely food, friendly staff. Didn't have the wine I liked, the bar man went and managed to find a bottle. Had to wait a little while for food to actually come out, when it did we were not disappointed. Will go again.

We booked my dad's 70th here for 28 people and it was brilliant. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The portion sizes were HUGE and delicious. A lovely pub with a great, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Lovely country pub with large outside area next to the river stour. Has a restaurant which looks nice but I haven't tried the food. There's no play equipment for kids but there's a park at the picnic area a few hundred yards down river. Gets mega busy on sunny weekends but it's a lovely setting so that's expected. Definitely high on my list of places to while away a weekend afternoon with friends. Oh and they have a nice ice cream shop in the garden - wowsers!!

This place is in such a lovely setting. I haven't been in it that many times, but the beer was good. It's probably worth another star than I have given it, but having never dined there I could only vouch for my experience.
