Good local pub with food. If you have a birthday or something to celebrate, you can have a room to yourself and your friends (for free) as long as you eat and drink.

Excellent lunch, freshly made baguette and sandwiches, and well kept draught beer (Timothy Taylor’s Landlord). Really nice pub with great staff that make you and your dog feel so very welcome. Really good place to relax next to the pond at Broomfield.

I visit the Huntsman and Horn regularly, absolutely fabulous and attentive staff - couldn’t ask for any better. They show a good attention to detail, are always friendly and chatty, and Lindsay and Sam are two of the most wonderful people you could ever meet. I would recommend this pub, their staff and their food to anyone visiting the area. 10/10 always 👏🏼

This is a lovely pub by a beautiful pond in Broomfield. Good food and great hosts Lyndsey and Sam. Dog friendly. One if the few tradional drinking establishments left. Highly recommended.

Shocking! Dirty! Untidy!I visited this pub this week, my findings were shocking! Tables were dirty, sticky from stale beer or drinks. Dust everywhere, cobwebs dirt grime. Poor service. Bar staff repeatedly getting orders wrong, very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Will not be rushing back. This pub used to be a lovely friendly pub, I’m shocked

I went to a wake here yesterday and was very pleased with the service that was given by all the staff ☺ who were very polite and quick in getting everyone's orders of drinks in. The food that they laid out was lovely and very well presented. Would definitely recommend xx welldone to all the staff xx

I attended a wake here this week and was very disappointed in a number of aspects, 1. The pub was dusty and dirty, tables were sticky, the garden is over grown and looks run down with broken fences, there was one member of staff on the bar who repeatedly got drinks orders wrong, neither of the two staff we saw was dressed in smart attire to greet a wake full of mourners and the barman was eating his dinner on the bar, the buffet food that was paid for was extremely disappointing!

I absolutely love coming to the Huntsman and Horn! Lindsey, Sam and the rest of the team are very friendly and welcoming. The Sunday lunch just goes from strength to strength, it is delicious! I also enjoy the daily lunchtime hot pot selections. They are very accommodating of people's food preferences, and there are always vegetarian and vegan options on offer. There are a variety of regular special evening events, including specialist food nights and quizzes. With the open fire, delicious home cooked food, wide selection of drinks and welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend a visit to this fabulous pub!

What a thoroughly lovely pub! Sunday lunch was just perfect. The owners/staff were so warm, friendly and attentive, really going the extra mile. The food was delicious, very reasonably priced and catering for veggies and vegans . . .and the cauliflower cheese was one of the best I’ve ever had. As a result of all this, the ambience is exactly what you hope for in a Kentish pub and I would heartily recommend you visit these guys . . We shall be returning, for sure!

So where to start, we were looking for a place to have a get together for Christmas close to the Premier Inn. Lindsay and Sam were new to the pub so we investigated The Huntsman ..... Lindsay and Sam could not have been more friendly. They remained flexible and cheerful even when numbers felt like they were ever changing due to covid.We had a group of approx 22 people, Lindsay catered, the food was amazing, the cellar well kept and the atmosphere second to none....Thank you Charlie you were the perfect barmaid for our group. At breakfast the next morning there was only praise and the feeling a fantastic evening was had by all...Thank you for catering especially for a special diet too.We cannot recommend this delightful pub with such a wonderful, efficient and happy team. We will see you in the summer!!
