A fantasticly stylish place which retains the pub like feel. A great selection of ales, really love the Hofmeister Weiss beer. Great food, starters were excellent, the chilli is the tastes I have ever had (the mains did not last long enough to have a picture taken). A must visit Canterbury pub.

Great scenery, friendly staff. Food was so good, it would be a crime not to go for a second serving.Only regret is not having enough space for a third serving.

It is our local but people of all ages and walks of life come here. Sam and his great team are extremely friendly and have created a warm and cosy atmosphere since Sam took over ownership of this lovely pub. Serving exceptionally good wines and beer. We are excited at the idea of food being provided in the next few weeks. There is a pub quiz on Mondays and piano playing on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoon. Just feel so lucky to have this great place on our doorstep. If you are in Canterbury and are visiting the historic St Dunstan’s church (where Henry II changed into a hair shirt for his walk of penance following the murder of Thomas Beckett) glance across the road and you will see The Monument public house. Venture inside and you will be greeted by very friendly staff whose friendliness is matched only by the quality of the vegetarian food which is prepared and served there. An added bonus are the views of St Dunstan’s from the courtyard and garden. A hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Rob & Julie

Great real ale and other drinks. Eclectic, relaxed pub setting with the option to buy the very good books scattered around on shelves. Helpful staff. Haven't tried the food yet, but when I do, it might go up to five star.

What can I say, amazing food, lovely sized portions in a Vegan restaurant for once!!!!!!! First Vegan restaurant that does ‘pub-food’ right. Service and ambiance were great and the menu (see pictures) was fantastic. They were out of red wine after a festival but that was fine. I will change this rating to a 5 star one when they remove themselves from Gourmet Society after I couldn’t use my card and get 25% off. Apparently this is because of the last owner and they are having trouble coming off the list. Of course they could instead just join GS and that way more people can use the service and make savings!!! OMG the ‘Monumental’ burger is aptly names and just fantastic 😁

This is a must-visit for your visit to Canterbury. A short walk from the station just outside the city walls, the variety of vegan junk food is amazing, and every meal we tried impressed. They also do a range of desserts, vegan beers and cocktails, including veganised versions of a White Russian and Bloody Mary. The staff are friendly and helpful and interior is cosy and clean with a great big beer garden outside.

Canterbury's only vegan pub. Incredibly welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting with lots of different seating options. On the menu: lots of choices: burgers, donairs, mac and cheese and loaded fries. Also nice to be able to order any drink or ale with no worries that they contain products unsuitable for vegans. We chatted with a friendly and interesting student who really made our night. We're sure to return to this pub the next time we are in Canterbury, as long as it remains vegan, which we very much hope it does!

A little apprehensive upon realising all the vegan meals were more like traditional fast food- mainly hotdogs, burgers and fries but impressed that the hotdog we ordered had a bit more of a foodie touch than expected. Tasted delicious, the fact that the food is vegan is not noticeable. Ask for the garlic mayo if you order fries. There weren’t any wine options when we visited so it would be nice to see some on the menu next time.

Great pub! Great food, drinks and staff!I had been to this pub before for bands, and had a great time, this time however we went for food. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement.First of I'm not vegan but my girlfriend is and I can safely say that I did not miss a thing! Amazing taste (presentation could have been better) but all round really good food. The staff have a friendly and solid rapport. The bar tender makes a great Cuban!Would recommend to all!
