Historic pub serving a decent Sunday Roast close to the cathedral. They have a nice private courtyard where it’s fun to sit & eat on sunny days.

·

Amazing Sunday Roast! The interior is truly spectacular, we dined in the upstairs where they have these beautiful rafters. The roasts were incredible, the gravy was especially good.

I stumbled on this beautiful old pub when I was on a treasure hunt with my niece and nephew. One of the oldest Inns in England, The Parrot is a lovely, cosy place-full of character-there was even a lovely roaring fire. The food was exactly what you expect-pub grub. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Good choice of beers- I was happy they had Whitstable Ale on tap. Friendly staff helped to make us feel relaxed and welcomed.

Friday lunchtime. Not too busy, room to socially distance. Very friendly welcome. Well kept ale. Shared a starter (calamari), had the beef pie and mash while other half had steak. Blackcurrant delice to finish. Food was excellent 5* and served appropriately hot or cold! Would definitely recommend and would visit again if in the area.

Great pub with traditional food menu, as well as a very good range of draft beers and wines. Food is great and the staff is very friendly. As a bonus, the building is very historical and the setting is very atmospheric.

We went to Parrot for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and they also have a very good (and quite cheap for the size you get!) kid's menu. But one of the most important parts of the great experience is the charming old building and great service. Thanks, Parrot! 👌

This is a great little pub. There are wooden beams throughout showing this buildings age. The food was fantastic, it came to the table hot and the staff were very friendly. You will not be disappointed if you want to visit a little pub tucked away in Canterbury city.

·

Very cosy Pub with beautiful original features. However, the food does not taste great. The beef was chewy and potatoes a bit hard. The beer is expensive as well. Good experience but food not recommended. The location is hard to find it.

It was my first time in an authentic British pub (had been dreaming to visit one for a long time). The interior is very nice and old-style, but the food is modern and delicious. The portions aren’t too big, which I liked, the beer is amazing. Recommended!
