Lovely supper with some old school friends last Friday - delicious food, drink and welcoming Harry. My friends and I loved it - thank you Red Lion.

Nice location and nice original interior. Derivative drinks, staff fine but other clientele too rough and ready even for my ex barman sensibilities.

The ambience was excellent. Comfortable friendly and efficient service. The food was absolutely first class, a little pricey we thought at first but it is true that if you want the best you have to pay accordingly so we got good value!

Lovely, friendly inn, with the usual pub fare.Good food, decent portion sizes and really friendly service in a down to earth setting.

Great pub, with a decent selection of beers and wines.We hadn't booked a table, but there was room for us. The menu was not the most comprehensive in the world, but it amply covered all the bases and the food was very well cooked and presented.Prices were eminently reasonable. The service (from the young woman running the bar and table service, in an unflappable and charming manner) was excellent.Given the local competition apparently ranging from sublime to ridiculous, the Red Lion seems to have decided on its niche, and fills it admirably.Ample, well lit, parking.
