Had a lovely lunch here. First timer. Nice Indy vibes , very unassuming and seems popular. Attentive, friendly service too. Foodie Highlight for me was the juice of the day ginger , apple and pineapple. So refreshing! I had the eggs royale sourdough with crushed avocado and dill dressing- nice! Would have loved a little green on the side so stole some rocket off the plate of my taste buddy who had the BLT sándwich. We both enjoyed. The warm polenta lemon poppy seed cake with a spoonful of yoghurt was unusual in a way that I liked 👍🏽👍🏽 well done . Will definitely return .

Amazing food and very friendly staff. We had breakfast there and came for lunch after eating such good food.

Amazing cafe! The food is excellent and service is exceptional. Ordered the buttermilk pancakes and a deluxe hot chocolate - both tasted great. Completely dog friendly too. However, it is unable to book so there may be a slight wait for a table depending on how busy it is though the food is worth it. Would go again!

The Refectory Kitchen is Lively and buzzin, we started here before exploring the sites of Canterbury and we couldn't have hoped for a better start, we were welcomed warmly and seated promptly, the restaurant itself has a genuine coziness that makes you want to settle in with a hot beverage on cold winters day and soak up the ambiance. Our orders were taken quickly but not rushed, the staff were all friendly and willing to talk over the menu with you, the selection is great too, something for everyone here. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a friendly, cosy place to fuel up before exploring.

Must-try for brunch in Canterbury!! Would recommend anything on the menu, especially the Kentish burger and fries. So delicious, fast service, and very nice indoor and outdoor sitting. We’ve come here with our dog and they’ve been accommodating every time. Make sure to show up early as it can get quite busy.

Best brunch in Canterbury! We discovered this place on our final day in Canterbury and we wish we'd found it earlier. There is so much food to choose from and it is a lovely, cosy atmosphere inside. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!

We love it! We had veggie fry up and all items were homemade so you can tell the difference. And we had french toast which was with yoghurt and blueberry compote, it was not greasy at all so we really enjoyed our breakfast here. Ohh and lovely staff too (especially in the morning everyone needs to see smiley faces and they have it! :) )
