The beef brisket burger was so good I had to leave a review. Wonderful flavour and texture, BUT - be warned, thereās a reason why people donāt normally put whole slices of red meat in a burger š Be prepared to give up trying to eat like that and use a knife and fork insteadā¦

Was recommended, atmosphere was really good. Both had scallops starter which were gritty.I had monk fish for my main which was over cooked.Husband had rib eye which he said was very nice and great taste, should of come with chunky chips but served with skinny chips and told they had sold out of chunky.Over all pretty average for the price but the atmosphere definitely made the evening enjoyable.

I booked a table upstairs for Sunday lunch over the bank holiday weekend for 5 ladies celebrating a birthday. The food was fantastic, it came out quickly, was beautifully cooked and the presentation was great. 4 of us had the roast beef and 1 had the roasted butternut squash and we shared side dishes of cauliflower cheese. All of the food was outstanding. The staff were lovely, really friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the music playing, the decor and general atmosphere. We are not local and were staying in the area and had booked The Rock Lodge based on a Google and Trip Advisor search. We highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely visit again when in the area.

We had a fantastic roast dinner here last week and we loved everything about The Rock Lodge! The food was amazing, everything freshly cooked and portion sizes were really good. I had the roast chicken and it was cooked to perfection. My friends had the pork belly and it was also delicious! They also allow doggies, and they were so accommodating for our pups. They even gave them a ādogs dinnerā and they got their own roast - for free! The staff were so attentive and helpful and really friendly too. They couldnāt have done enough to make sure we were happy eg. bringing over sauces, checking our food was ok, getting more drinks, and having a nice chat too.Our new fave place to hang out! Canāt wait to try boozy bingo and the quizzes!Would give 6 stars if I could!

Didnāt book turned up with 2 dogs for Sunday lunch. The staff were very friendly and professional. The dogs both received a complimentary roast Dinner which looked good enough for me to eat.The food was very good, great portion sizes and very tasty. The cost was very reasonable, I will definitely be returning next time Iām in Whitstable.Well done guys.

Lovely place to visit. Downstairs is the general public bar, which also serves bar food. Upstairs is the restaurant where we ate for Mother's Day (photos of upstairs). Staff were all very friendly & helpful, the atmosphere was good. My only concern would be the wait for food. However, the main meal was really good, not so keen on dessert, but I think that was down to choice. I am disabled & some of my concerns would be access, stairs & space. Overall I would go again, but check it out for wheelchair accessibility beforehand.

We managed to get a last minute reservation for Sunday lunch - 26th Feb and absolutely loved it!We had the chicken and the veggie roast - both absolutely scrummy.I loved the surroundings, very cosy even on a sunny day! Staff were friendly and helpful.Highlight of the visit was the free Sunday lunch for our dog - she couldn't believe it - unlikely we'll be able to walk passed the Rock Lodge without trying to get back in š¤£Would definitely recommend!!

PERFECTION! Staff are lovely, knowledgeable with where wines comes from and taste, recommend food and the place is immaculate. Food is amazing.Definitely recommend this place.Decorated beautifully. They were very accommodating with my 2 and a half year old, but more targeted for adults.Lauren and Harry looked after us and were very friendly.

A lot of love has gone into this place... fresh flowers, quality condiments... live bands, daily specials...even it's own beer and local newspaper ... š» Buuut it's not quite there. The staff aren't so attentive or knowledgeable... lovely...but not so experienced. The food is ok... great fries... but it's overpriced. I expect to pay Ā£13 a gormet burger and over Ā£4 a pint of lager in central London... not Whitstable. I have to say... great gin selection.... but no one should be served that Guinness-in-a-can 'surge' bollox without fair warning. It IS NOT the same š”
