The Ship Inn in Canterbury

Visited here by chance a few years ago and as we were back in the area, gave it another go for Sunday lunch.Nothing really to rave or complain about, hence the solid 4 star rating. We went for a Sunday roast and the best way to describe it... Tasty, plentiful and fairly priced, what more could you want. The only reason for not giving a 5 star is the slow cooked beef isn't my preference for a Sunday roast but like I said, it was a tasty plate of food.We'd happily stop in again if the area so would also recommend based on our experience. There were a fair few tables reserved which is usually a good sign!

Popped in for lunch with friends. Lovely food, reasonably priced and good portions of food. Well worth the money. Clean, good service. Has decking seating area outside and "Customers Only" car park . Nice pub.

Such a disappointment visited this establishment for lunch with my friend. The meal was ok but expensive for what it was. A week later received a parking fine of £100 even though we parked in the pub car park. Apparently we should have informed the bar staff that we had parked in the car park. To be fair any signs were not obvious. Needless to say we will never use this place again

Good lunch here,if you are in Herne bay I would recommend it.

This is a very nice place. On the sea front with a small to medium sized rear/side outdoor seating. The staff were excellent, informative and smiling. The food looked amazing, I only stopped for a drink, but I shall be going back to dine in the near future.

A stop for a reasonable pub menu. Clean and comfortable our fish and chips were a large portion and tasty. A few locals in but it was out of season.

Lovely friendly pub. The staff were very helpful and friendly.The pub has a great choice of beers and wines.We didn't eat here when we visited but the food on the table next to us looked absolutely delicious.We will definitely return to sample some food on our next visit.

Really enjoyable time. I was walking with two friends and we popped in for one drink. This morphed into my wife and children joining us and having dinner there. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and food was decent. My friends dog was allowed in as well and the serve Harvey's beer which is one of my faves.

Lovely comfortable pub with friendly staff. It's a great place to grab food and drink after a walk on the seafront with a good selection of ales and wines plus a great choice of food. Dog friendly and accepts Apple Pay / contactless.
