Excellent place to stay. Clean rooms, good facility, good parking space etc. Carvery was very good and yummy. Walkable to city centre and all main attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. No complaints. :)Definitely recommend this place.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Comfortable rooms and great breakfasts. Easy free onsite parking. Great location about a 10 minute walk from Canterbury centre.

Just had an enjoyable weekend in Canterbury staying with friends at the Victoria Hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and appeared refurbished. The menu was varied and reasonably priced and well presented. The bar prices were the only thing one could complain about.

Today was our first visit. Excellent carvery, very generous serving. Will visit again. Update: Been twice since last review. Very consistent. Great food.

Although the Victoria Hotel has been given 3 stars, I totally disagree. I disagree because I have stayed there for three nights and I would give this hotel 5 stars. The hotel itself is spacious and spotlessly clean, with food being served from 12pm until 9pm every day and, has an all day every day for carvery. The staff are very friendly and helpful and if you know where to look you can get some good deals on rooms. The rooms are very nice and modern with bathroom and shower. The beds are very comfortable and if you want to have your room cleaned every day then you can. The Victoria Hotel is highly recommended and well worth a visit. Also, the carvery is available to non residents so it would give you an idea of whether you would like to stay there.

They were wonderful hosts, helped with everything we could need. Fabulous food ( the carvery was particularly good!!) comfy beds and we had the best nights sleep there. Lots of Parking. Close to town. We couldn't have asked for more, it was perfect getaway and it should be rated at 5 star. We will be returning again :)Thank you for such a lovely stay!!

If I were able to award 5 * plus I would happily do so! I unexpectedly needed somewhere to stay in Canterbury for x 3 weeks after the heating/ hot water system failed at home. The Victoria Hotel has proved to be the ideal solution for an anxiety provoking situation. The staff are amazing, helpful, informative, extremely kind & a great team! I've been very fortunate to speak to Rosario, Angela, Nicole, Wesley, Tony & LJ on many occasions over breakfast or whilst passing the reception area & they are all so personable. It's not possible to catch everyone's name but all the staff I have spoken to have been really polite & really helpful. Its evident that there is a real team ethos amongst the staff at The Hotel Victoria & it is family run which also makes a difference to the atmosphere at the hotel. And again this is evident with the genuine warmth that they exude towards all their guests! The room I stayed in also had an extremely comfortable bed, crisp fresh sheets, plenty of pillows & lovely warm shower in the mornings. The housekeeping also deserves special mention as nothing was ever too much trouble & the level of cleanliness was superb & maintained! Last but not least if you want an absolutely delicious, substantial & varied breakfast thats sets you up for the day then The Hotel Victoria is absolutely the perfect place. The restaurant again is absolutely spotless & it has been a huge test of resolve not to order the absolutely delicious cooked breakfast each morning! It is cooked fresh to order & this is evident in the delectable sausages, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns etc. And the meat is excellent quality too! The continental breakfast is as varied as you could wish for & the fresh fruit bowls delicious! To be honest I've never come across such a choice for breakfast & requests for variations on the theme of the cooked breakfast are always catered for, demonstrating the flexibility of the kitchen! I'd happily eat breakfast daily at The Victoria Hotel even after I've returned home were it possible! Last but not least the location is absolutely spot on... easily accessible as soon as you enter the city, masses of free parking which is a boon in Canterbury & the hotel is only 10 mins walk into the city centre. The spires of the Cathedral are visible as soon as you leave the Hotel Victoria guiding you to the heart of Canterbury. I really can not eulogise enough about The Hotel Victoria or praise it highly enough. Enjoy your stay!

First time of going there. Heard good things about it. And it lived upto it. Carvery was great value for money. Food really tasty and staff made you welcome.

A handy comfortable hotel in an ideal location. Easily accessible by road and just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Canterbury. Warm and well furnished rooms, spotlessly clean and with very comfortable beds. Good breakfast in the restaurant downstairs that also has a good evening menu. I've stayed a couple of times now for business and the only reason, I'll go elsewhere in Canterbury is if there are no rooms available for my chosen dates!

Lovely staff. Been going there for years, never had a bad meal. Prices are reasonable and menu very good. Sunday roast is great with a choice of 3 meats, and lots of lovely vegetables and roast potatoes. Advise to book as gets very busy.
