No frills, just great food in a quaint, charming space. Great portions, flavours and variety. You can bring bring your own booze - easy with “the offy” just across the road. Go 👌🏽

Heaven on a plate! We went for lunch and liked it so much we went back for dinner the next day and even packed some of the take-away snacks as we hit the road back home. This is exceptional food at a fraction of London prices. The atmosphere and service is casual and family like - it feels more like you are invited over to a friends place who had somehow managed to hire one of the best chefs in the country to do the cooking. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Service was mediocre and food expensive. Portions far too small. As we were casually just sitting at the bar... An experience, that had to be done while at Whitstable.

Wheelers really is as good as its reputation. The staff are lovely and clearly incredibly passionate about seafood. Every single dish is divine and incredibly well priced. Wheelers don't have a licence but with corkage only £3 and an amazing "Offy" over the road bringing your own bottle to the table only adds to the charm. The shop in front of the seated dining has an amazing spead of take away seafood and cook at home treats. 100% recommend for anyone wishing to sample British seafood and hospitality at its best. Unpretentious, fresh and perfectly executed

We’ve headed over to Whitstable for New Year and were super lucky to get into Wheelers for lunch earlier today!!! You are gonna see and read just how epic this food was, but it really doesn’t do it justice!! This was one of the finest meals we have had this year and we really can’t recommend you get yourself to Whitstable to eat here enough!! 😋The place itself is very unassuming and is very akin to eating in your friends or relatives dining room (which we bloody love!!).. the staff are truly top notch, we didn’t get our waiters name today (very rude of us) but he was an absolute superstar, the sort of person you want sat down eating with you!! Looked after us every step of the way!!These were just the starters but fear not - the mains and desserts will be following! Our fave things: The whole experience, food, service, atmosphere, menu, deli counter for takeaway bits!! Just BRAVO!!! 😍

I went there for a hot takeaway, as I wanted to have a quick (yet delicious) bite at the seafront, so I ordered mussels with chips and seafood arancini. Both were amazing, but I was mostly impressed with all the choice - there are so many items on the menu that you can come back over and over and try something new every time.I’ll definitely go back there for some more!

The bus driver recommended this place and I totally agree with him.We had the yuzu granita oyster which were delicious. Also the seared scallops with pork and butternut puree. Should have tried some more of their small plates. The lady at the counter was very helpful too. Definitely a must visit in whitstable and one to come back again for their changing menu's.

Excellent seafood! Tapas style small dishes. You are likely to need 2 or 3 per person. No licence for alcohol but for a small corkage fee you can bring your own and there is a great wine shop right across the street. You can also preorder their amazing picnic box and have a picnic on the beach.

My only experience was takeaway, very big selection of fishcakes and different dishes, but I just wanted to try the oysters and guiness oysters. Both were lovely but the standard rock oysters were a better experience. Friendly staff, cash or card but they prefer cash(?). Takeaway is on a paper plate with a slice of lemon. Personal I loved the fact that the rock oysters cases still had traces of seaweed on them. It felt a very authentic experience eating them by the beach 200m away. A great lite place and impossible to miss on the street

I wanted to visit this restaurant several times before but you must book to get in. Yesterday we finally made it to this restaurant and it was fantastic. The restaurant provides small plates, tapas style dishes. Since there were 4 of us, we pretty much ordered every item on the menu apart from the ceviche, sadly was not available that day.All the deep fried dishes were very crispy but light, the batter was thin and not oily.We liked the Japanese style oysters as the sauce had mirin, which gives its shine and sweetness and the pickled ginger worked surprisingly well.Among the 4 of us, 3 of us picked the Korean prawns as our favourite. My favourite was the squid. While it is a commonly served fish, the thin crispy batter and that sweet chilli sauce did it for me. It was simple but well cooked, squid wasn’t chewy yet it’s not oily. The restaurant is quite small, only 4 tables inside. They don’t serve alcohol but they will happily open bottles for 3GBP per table. There is a well stocked off-license opposite. If you are planning to visit Whitstable and you like seafood, I would definitely recommend booking a table at this place.
