Wild Goose in Canterbury

Great meal as always- fantastic ingredients from the stalls below beautifully cooked with the lovely atmosphere of the market going on below you. My favourite eatery in Canterbury. If you like ice cream worth asking what they have - there is usually one slightly unusual flavour that isn’t on the standard desert menu but it is always delicious in my experience.

Had the best meal for my husbands birthday! Beautiful produce, loved having a seasonal menu and cocktails to go with too. Everything was so delicious and the staff were really friendly. Will definitely be returning!

Overpriced!! Menu descriptions beware…. Ordered the “Leg of Lamb” which as you can see wasn’t a leg!! I’d mention that the greens was full of grit and the celeriac was still raw but wasn’t really taken notice of. This dish with no sides was £24…..also bare in mind this was dessert plate and not a main plate for portion size.I also ordered the “Orange and Almond Tart” this turned out to be an Almond cake with 2 segments on Orange on the top. Wasn’t worth the £8 also the triffle was nearly the size of a shot glass. They gave you a small spoon for the 3 mouthfuls you got.

Name a better foodie spot in Kent than Canterbury, and I’ll show you to its many creative, unique eateries. As a Canterbury local, I am indeed a little biased, but even as someone who regularly waxes lyrical about the many restaurants on my doorstep, I’ve raved a little more than usual when it comes to The Goods Shed. Firstly I must say the food was wonderful, so many flavours simply stunning! The location is great also as the Goods Shed is a beautiful building.My only critique is the staff, the menu's are already on the table and I was surprise that our server didn't tell us what they had on the menu or ask us if we had questions, no real welcome, she was extremely quite, not over friendly. I think for somewhere that prides itself on its wonderful food they need to look and train their waiting staff as I did think the service was poor but the food made up for it.

We ate at the Wild Goose tapas bar and the staff were lovely, the food was divine and so local, seasonal and fresh. The shed itself is a foodies dream 100% recommend.

It's a lovely venue with a nice vibe. Noylt a huge amount of products, but enough for a quick look around. Worth a visit if passing.

Located in a lovey market with wonderful local products, it has a cozy atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and polite. The food was absolutely delicious, I recommend the venison as a main - so tender and tasty. Dress warmly if you go in the winter as it is a covered market with open doors! 10/10

Great and Independents Mini Shops...!Beautiful and fresh vegetables 🍎🍇🍊🥕🥔🍅🥦 The superb quality of meat and fish. The fish and seafood 🦐🦀 were surprisingly fresh!!Amazing choice of wines🍾 and cheeses 🧀European deli.Fantastic Oliver oils.If you feel hungry😋 there's a restaurant and café inside the market.I would shop regularly in The Goods Shed if I was living in the area!!I love the people from Canterbury, they are amazingly friendly, helpful and polite🤗

Been wanting to come here for a while & so glad we did. It doesn't have an extensive menu, which wasn't a negative, as the food we ordered as bursting with flavour & texture. Beautifully presented, great service, awesome setting. And there is a quality foid market, cafe inside, all locally sourced produce, which tge restaurant utilizes for its ingredients. Visit. Its worth it.
