Proper country pub, nice atmosphere, good beer, tasty food and cheerful staff. I recommend the cauliflower soup, delicious.

·

A fantastic pub. Superb food, and excellent service. I didn't drink the beer, as I was driving....but it looked alright.

·

Sunday dinner. Amazing service and delish food.

This is my second visit. I love the character and charm of this oldy worldly pub and they managed to squeeze us in on a busy Sunday lunchtime.Had a nice Sunday roast, although the veg weren't 'Al dente' which I prefer, otherwise lovely.

·

Cracking Sunday lunch and beautiful location. Portion sizes certainly reflect the price and would definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding (it was more of a slab than a slice- so perfect!)

I had a sunday lunch at The Yew Tree today . All our meals were delicious and the best roast dinner I have eaten out in ages. The staff were friendly and helpful and good quick service. I will definitely be returning, great place for a fantastic sunday roast.

We were a large group of 30 campers. I have to say (and all of us agreed) this was THE nicest food we have had for a very long time. My roast was probably the nicest roast I have ever eaten (and the dessert was just as good). Fantastic! Don’t miss out!

We went here on a Sunday and got a lovely space in the garden. The venue is very pretty and the food was fabulous. Unfortunately it was the little things that impacted the visit, although the staff is lovely and friendly no one really knew if we were already served or it was difficult to reach out to someone to order more drinks. Another point was that I received a dirty glass and spoon and the yorkshire pudding was missing with the Sunday Roast. The biggest disappointment was that we were asked to move tables as there were guests coming after us although the booking was only taken via phone when we already occupied the table (we could hear the conversation on the phone). We would have loved to stay longer but decided to leave eventually.

Very nice 14th century pub located in the charming village of Westbere. The food is good, although of limited range. The service was good a friendly. This historic pub is interesting and quirky. There is plenty of parking out the back of the pub and the prices are reasonable and good value.
