Perfect in every way possible. Think of a superlative and apply it as it will fit here. Toilets you want to linger in. Glasses that gleam. Decor done with taste. Comfortable seats (so often overlooked!) A beautiful garden with lavender borders. Menus created with imagination, flair & a clear love and understanding of food, flavours and combinations. Well done Anthony! An extremely friendly couple who clearly understand the welcoming and approachable nature of true hospitality with none of the pomp & servitude or slovenliness that are the extremes of hospitality so often. The French influences abound but then they’ve just returned from running their own restaurant and chambre d’hote in France for the past 8 years. We so wish this was our local we’d be there every week! Instead we had to put up with only being able to go three times in our ten night stay in the area ;) we tried a weekday lunch, Sunday roast and finally the piece de resistance the tasting menu. We left feeling full but not stuffed full of stodge, a veritable assault on the taste buds. Mike & I wish you every luck with your new venture and hope it goes from strength to strength and will recommend to all we know. Feel lucky to have found you and thoroughly enjoyed your hospitality. Superb food, great wine list, really nice and enjoyable place to eat. Food was faultless, as were the really nice and friendly staff, will be back.

New owners here now and such great food, our cured salmon starter and duck main were perfect, delicately flavoured delights. They know what they're doing with the wine too, the Beaujolais village was delicious.

Called in today for Sunday lunch..... Food service.... atmosphere.... Just perfect.... Hope it goes well for the new owners..... I think their dog barks in French!..

Had a meal there last night. Very nice friendly place, doggy friendly too. Menu choices limited but enough to choose from. Food very good and reasonably priced. Will definitely go again if in the area.

We stopped in yesterday when hiking through the area. Very nice atmosphere, giant TV for the rugby, delicious food well-priced, and a very nice, clean lady's room! 🙂 Would definitely return if in the area.
