The venue is lovely looking place, but sounds very hollow. The thing's that gives it only 3 stars are the bar staff wasn't paying attention to who they should be serving next, which is a fundamental for anyone working behind the bar (first thing I was taught when becoming a bartender), and when the ale was starting to get cloudy the ale wasn't changed until the barrel was empty.

We stopped off to break out journey and have a late lunch. The place was clean tidy not too busy, a good choice on the menu reasonable prices. Service was friendly and speedy, the only member of staff was working hard serving the bar and tables. We had a vegetable lasagne and a chicken dish

Only had a drink but menu did look ok .Walked past many times and not gone in . Wish I'd have gone through the door before !!Great looking place . Good selection on tap plus plenty of spirits and a board with enough choice of cocktails (2 for 1 on a Thursday)
