Denis Restaurant in Cherwell

Visited on an unplanned overnight stop as I had read good reviews, easy to find on the main pedestrianised street in bicester town centre , traditional Turkish dishes and decor ,not disappointed, quality of food was of a high standard and well presented, my starter of grilled haloumi was nice and meaty and perfectly cooked ,my mixed grill main had a good mixture of well cooked meals with a very good tomato dip , nicely cooked white rice and vegetable salad accompaniment ,Was on point and really hit the spot ,The yellow blobs in the photo is the mustard I added !Don't usually bother with desserts but decided to try the baklava and was absolutely to die for,Pastry rolls were Lovely and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle ,Nearly ordered another!Service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing, dishes were served in quick time considering restaurant was fairly busy for a Sunday night , bill came to £36.00 with 2x bottled beers ,( 1 person) ,Only slight gripe was no draught beers and only 2 bottled ( efes or cider ) to choose from, could really do with a better selection ,Overall a very enjoyable meal , would definitely visit again if in the area ,Highly reccomended !

Wow wow wow, visited after a day out in bicester was amazing will happily drive 1hr from Midlands to have a meal there.

Amazing food, service, friendly staff, comfy atmosphere and couldn’t recommend a better place to eat in Bicester. Every time me and my family go to Bicester we don’t eat anywhere else because the food is spectacular. Highly recommended.

Lentil soup is great starter. Everything else is fantastic too. Delicious baklava and Turkish coffee to finish. Staff and owner very friendly. We go regularly - must book for Friday/Saturday.

We went to the shopping village and heard people talking about this restaurant in one of the shops. We felt so lucky to find such an amazing place to eat after a long day. The service was so attentive and professional. The owner made us feel very welcome. Attention to detail was perfect. We loved the table clothes and napkins. The place looked immaculate. It will definitely be a place to visit for us when we are back in the area again. Would highly recommend.

My family and I often visit this restaurant particular to celebrate a birthday. The service is consistent and always impeccable; the food is delicious, most of us typically order the lamb shank which is a devine and filling dish; the ambiance of the restaurant is gorgeous; the staff are friendly and warm. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Thanks to the staff for making visiting your restaurant such a wonderful experience every time!

I have eaten here many times before. We always go for our birthdays and family gatherings. My son loves the lamb chops. My favourite dish is Iskender. And the liver as a starter is really tasty. My daughter is vegetarian and she always gets meze plate and different starter every time. My husband probably had all the dishes on the menu as he loves this restaurant. We always get Yakut Turkish wine. It is always very busy. We really love it.

Was randomly in Bicester and found this place. Really good. Fantastic food and service. Had the prawns and apple tart both excellent. Service attentive but not intrusive. Keep up the good work!

My wife and I had a great night at Denis restaurant. Everything is so tasty, you can't restrain yourself from having all of the dishes. Restaurant owner Mr Metin is so friendly like all staff. Now, we know that we are going to eat at Denis Restaurant when having a chance at Bicester.
