Not what we expected lovely looking pub warm beer warm wine. Food for the price below average. Had much better at the local barlymo sizzling pub chain and half the price. 👎🏻

Fantastic place for a meal. Great atmosphere and good, well priced food. Good value.

Always great to eat here. Booked at short notice and luckily they were able to accommodate us. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Highly recommend but do recommend booking early.

By far one of the best meals I've had in a long time, happened to nip in for lunch whilst on a training course. The pork belly was the best I've ever had, highly recommended if you're in the area

So disappointing, lovely looking pub.The great Xmas decorations when you arrive lead you to believe this could be quite special. We chose it for the good reviews and great looking menu.Unfortunately it was poor, they had a Xmas party in and we were left with a reduced menu because of this, we were not told a reduced menu was in place before we arrived.The food was basic. Two of the dishes we ordered were well under what was expected, an 8oz rump steak, chips, onion rings turned up as what can only be described as a medallion! Not 8oz, no chips or rings. We asked for the chips and was asked 'had we ordered them?' No, they are on the menu as part of the meal. The chicken wrapped in pancetta with mushroom sauce turned up as a breast of chicken with the thinnest covering of white sauce on. We complained, the young girl with long dark hair was really nice, apologetic and tried to remedy the issues, she was a credit. The chicken was taken away and returned as chicken wrapped in streaky bacon! At least it had some mushroom sauce. We were told the chef was working to a different menu to the one we had despite being told the menu we had was the only one? The chips then turned up for the steak, which had been eaten some time before. We had to ask for the onion rings, again, they did turn up as we all sat there having finished what we did have.The dessert menu was black forest gateaux, syrup sponge pudding, profiteroles and cheesecake. How 70s! We declined.Apparently the reduced menu was a one off!On the plus side the belly pork was nice and the fish and chips were nice, they also took some money off the bill.For a family Xmas meal we left feeling underwhelmed.

Fantastic meal for 7 in the private dining room at short notice on a Saturday night. The car park was full when we arrived which is always reassuring to see.All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent with lots of choice for everyone and the Christmas lights outside look amazing.Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Quite secluded village with this amazing pub in the centre! Came here for an afternoon meal and was not disappointed. Staff are polite and always there to help. Ordered the soup which was beautifully made nice and creamy, and the lamb was cooked to perfection 10/10. Would highly recommend and will be 100% returning while I'm away.

Beautiful pub with the most amazing floral displays all around the building. Quintessential English village pub. Friendly staff and excellent food - we will be back!
