Ovisher in Cherwell

The prices have gone up which I understand give the current crisis. What I don't understand is why you only only get a few tiny scraps of lettuce which were mostly brown, 1 slice of cucumber and 1 slice of tomato in the qmins luxury kebab?

Without doubt the worst curries I have ever tasted.I bought takeaways from this resterant many years ago when I lived in the area & thought they were fantastic.Today however, they are disgusting.I moved to the other side of Oxford many years ago & thought I would treat myself to something special. I contacted Ovisher to ascertain if they would deliver so far away, when Ovisher confirmed they would, I bought £80+ worth of curries without rice as rice is so easy to make at home.Big mistake never to be repeated. Although I bought several dishes, they all tasted bland & virtually the same.Whoever has been writting good reviews, either hasn't had an Indian curry before, or the reviwes are fake & family posted....I suspect.

Four friends had lunch at the Ovisher Restaurant last Thursday. We had a wonderful meal, we were served by a charming helpful waiter and we really enjoyed our visit.

Very very poor customer service. They promise delivery within a specified period of time to secure the order but in reality take much much longer and when confronted become abrupt and very very rude. Very poor!

Astounded by the shocking customer service, group of 10 of us weren't even given menus for 45 minutes despite asking 3 times, starters came out quick but after an hour of waiting we asked where the mains were and got ignored, asked if we could have our food in to go boxes due to the wait, when we finally got the food a, further 30 minutes later, it was missing a main and multiple sides. All 4 staff members ignored us most the night, no apologies for the delay or any update on how long it would be (the restaurant wasn't overly busy). They seemed perplexed that we were unhappy with the service, never been treated with such disrespect in a restaurant! An 8pm booking and we eventually left at 10.30 without having eaten, would give 0 stars if google allowed

Great food and Tuesday night banquet offer is amazing value.

Best Indian Restaurant that I've eaten in. The restaurant is extremely clean and welcoming. The tables are not too close to each other. The food was absolutely fantastic and deserved 5 stars of it's own! The Staff are extremely attentive, friendly and proper characters. I absolutely will be using the Ovisher Indian Restaurant again and thoroughly recommend it.

Having booked a month in advance & having rung on the day to confirm booking. They appeared to have lost it. Was shoved on a table right by the door which was being opened constantly. I appreciate they were busy but a wait for 25 mins just to order drinks was not good service. We were really considering going elsewhere. We did stay. The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired, especially as it was booked for a birthday celebration.

Unexpected find when on the lookout for dinner. Restaurant was exceptionally clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was made as requested, with generous portions and above average quality. Great value for money, and a highly reccomended takeaway in the area.
