Thai Orchid - Banbury in Cherwell

£180 for 4 dinner’s, granted we went for a set menu anticipating a great things .Both lots of starters were near cold , we agreed it could just be that they were busy .Then the 2 set ( 8 dishes) of mains arrived and were placed atop of candle warmers . Jokingly we said is this to cook the food !! we’ll it should have been as all 8 dishes and there contents were warm not hot.I’d like to think the cold starters were just a mistake but sadly the whole lot was well below par ,granted we should have said something but I’m not one to complain while in restaurantSadly I won’t be going back there despite its beautiful ambiance

The Food is good. But The staff is horrible. They will force you to order more if you order less then they are rude and on that they will ask service charges for their poor service. Food quality is very good but bit annoyed by service they provided and how they made you feel.

Went to Banbury for a walk and found a big Thai restaurant. Oh, I miss Thai food soooooooo much! Let’s try!They have a lunch menu which includes a lot of good choices. I had a chicken green curry. The taste is traditional, not very spicy. I love it!We met a lovely staff. She is a Thai but spoke Cantonese to us! She said she love a Hong Kong actor so learned Cantonese by herself. What a talented woman! She was so happy to see us so she can practise her Cantonese while we are happy to speak our mother language here too.A very special and surprising experience! We we were told that they have buffet on Sunday, hope to visit soon.

I think yesterday I discovered one of Banbury's most Indulgent dining experiences. I love an all you can eat and this one challenged me!Interior⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The interior awe inspiring, such a beautiful place and it just goes on and on. The decor is like stepping into another country and is beautiful.Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️As it is a buffet its hard to say exactly what the service would be like for main menu however the drinks were served quickly and empty plates cleaned away very promptly. The buffet gets absolutely smashed by the hundreds of hungry folk so occasionally it did look a bit empty but they worked hard to keep as many dishes full as possible.Food/drink⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The selection of food is unreal! I couldn't ask for more choice. Everything I had wS amazing but some highlights were the pulled pork pancakes, the green curry, whole salmon, calamari, spring rolls, the crunchie dessert and dare I say it, the chips were actually banging (I don't know why I even tried them but I am so glad I did)Price⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️£19 per person for all you can eat is amazing value when you eat as much as I do, and the choice means there are still things left to try next time!Overall⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I cannot give this anything less than 5 stars, it was a faultless lunch buffet for me. And I simply cannot wait to get back at it next month!

We made the decision at the last minute to eat here, as we always do every time we decide to eat out.The staff found us a table and attended to our every need even though we didn't pre book a tableThe food here is amazing, the interior needs to be seen to be appreciated and the staff are wonderful nothing is too much trouble, I can highly recommend everything on the menu

Always good quality food provided, no matter busy night dinner or Sunday buffet. Price is slightly higher than Bicester Thai restaurant, but the taste and quality is always there.Staff are all lovely and friendly. Sunday buffet is always good, they refilled the food quickly and variety of choices of foods. 😃

Really really enjoyed this place. I took my mother away for a couple of days and was so thrilled to have found this place on our last night. The food was authentic, good portion sizes and delicious. Not in the area often but I would most certainly return here. Thank you x
