Every time we visit from Canada we have to have at least a couple of meals here. Now you’re internationally famous, so there.

If you like pies you'll love it here! Good food and good service. As you can imagine on a Saturday evening when we visited it was busy but that was to be expected. Great selection of great Hooky ales too!

·

Best pie place in the world! Courteous and friendly service, huge variety of pies freshly baked on the spot, simple uncluttered surroundings. Toilets spotless. Must go back again and again until I've tried every pie on menu

Absolutely love this place. The pies are second to none, both in terms of selection and quality. They are all served in a nice relaxed environment and are great value for money. You do need to be aware that they can get quite busy at times and do not take reservations, but you can always go to the bar and have a nice drink or two whilst you wait in a nice friendly atmosphere.Just to update as it has been over a year since I posted the original review. I have just been back, and if anything they have got better. The service is second to none with the waitresses professional yet friendly and engaged. The food amazing. I had the apple pie for dessert and it was as big as the main pies, very tasty, though you may want to share it with someone else

We like this place very much , one criticisms not enough choice for a vegetarian. Desserts fabulous.

·

Good food. Wide range of pies, though not as fantastic as I was expecting. The side order of mash potatoes and veg were more like school dinners as it was boiled to death and the mash was dry and scooped into large cricket size balls.Would I go back...maybe if someone else was paying, yes.UPDATE: lovely to see it took the owners 8 months to even respond to my review, and then decide to be sarcastic rather than objective or constructive. As for my review, I stand by it. It was like a school meal, tasteless and watery. Finally, if someone did offer to pay for my meal I'd tell them to keep their money and go elsewhere.

Great food and lovely atmosphere. My BBQ Beef, cheese and Bacon pie was really rather special. Will be going back soon

·

Simply the best pies you could ask for. Decent amount of filling and the puff pastry is layered and stands proud. You get some seasonal veg and can choose mash or chips too.

·

Excellent pies and great service, took our dog with us as well

·

Fantastic sunday roast. Portion for two was massive. Fantastic dinner with vegetables and gravy. Staff nice and friendly. Totally recomended !!!
