Prices good, staff is friendly . Has a massive cosy fireplace to sit down nearby, though opening hrs are different and some local people aren't tourist friendly . Dog friendly. You have to come during hrs when they serve food, otherwise no meals are served.

It's a proper pub, has fantastic beers (hooky), great garden, a lovely fire and always welcome well behaved dogs. If you want a pint with your friends, this is Bloxham's best venue

A 'drinking pub'. It's not a restaurant with a bar tucked away, as most pubs are these days. It is a place to go to drink. You know, like all pubs used to be? Fancy a pint in Bloxham? This pub is the place to go.

i have just returned from a couple of days competing with my riding club at the championships in swalcliffe. my husband and i stopped at the elephant and castle and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area for whatever reason. the landlord made us feel so welcome, the locals that frequent the pub in the evenings were fantastic company we couldn't have stopped at a better place.
