My husband and I had a really lovely dinner and stay at this pub. Excellent staff and delicious food in a beautiful setting. I'd definitely recommend it!

Great base for F1 with lovely rooms and food . Our room was very old and part of the pub (there are other more modern rooms in the garden.) It had a sloping floor, a bath in the room on a slight dais but also a toilet just behind the bath! There was a screen around the toilet. The room itself was very, very comfortable with plenty of space and lots of really lovely toiletries especially acquired for customers of the George Inn. Highly recommended.

I would have given this Inn five stars based on previous experiences. However, having walked 1.5 miles from South Newington to the Inn on a baking hot day, gasping for something cold to drink we arrived to find the pub closed due to a private event. This was AFTER checking their website for opening times. No mention of a private event on there. Be warned - if you are travelling any distance I would call before you leave to make sure that they are open.

What a wonderful pub, Ellie was brilliant from start to finish, recommended some great food with our highlight being the chicken thighs and her bloody mary was 5*, we cannot wait to come back.

Fabulous. Thanks to Claire and her team for the work they do to make any stay a pleasure.Quaint, old fashioned country hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. Rooms were pleasant and comfortable with all the amenities required. Ample parking for guests and users of the pub/restaurant. Food was of a high standard and tasty, menu wasn't too big which always helps when making choices of what to eat. Breakfast was tasty and locally sourced where possible.

Stayed here for two nights with my husband and my brother and sister in law, we had an amazing time. The staff were wonderful, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very clean, well decorated, the underfloor heating was very good. We were in the accessible garden room. I have saved the best to last, the food was gorgeous, very tasty, and unlike other restaurants you could pick off the two different menus and mix them! Breakfast on both mornings were extensive and set you up for a day exploring the area. Thank you we will definitely be back

Recently stayed three nights at the George Inn. Room very tastefully decorated and comfortable, food excellent. The breakfasts in particular were quite unusual and very delicious! Staff lovely and very attentive - nothing was too much trouble. Pod Point charger a real bonus for EV drivers. Overall a lovely experience

Given that the pub was pretty full, the food although fairly slow to arrive was excellent Sunday lunch fare.I ate the beef which was just right- tender and bountiful, accompanied by enormous Yorkshire pudding and plenty of vegetables. The parsnips, though welcome on the plate were well underdone and should have been roasted to bring out their sweetness.Pudding was yummy.Service was excellent.

Wow this place was amazing, very pretty village. The evening meal was so delicious and the service was brilliant. The cottage garden room was so clean, everything was spot on. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast.... a full english was just a tasty as the evening meal. We had a great visit there and would recommend 100%. Thank you all very much.
