Lovely friendly pub with good selection of ales, beers and ciders; nice outside terrace including a covered area having patio heater lamps

After 2 years of being in Oxford, I finally decided to give the King's Arms (Wheatley) a try. I went in and was given a very warm welcome! The barkeep was very friendly and made sure everything was ok, etc. An absolute A+ for service in my books.I ordered the sausage and mash and chicken wings, quite pricey in my opinion. Came to a grand total of 20 quid! Thank god I didn't get a pint with it!To be critical (and hence why it's only 4 stars), the chicken wings were hard and not tender at all. They were also misadvertised as "garlic and chili wings" - to my surprise, when they came out, they were just plain chicken wings drizzled in sweet chili sauce. This slightly ticked me off since I was expecting the Chinese takeaway style of finely chopped garlic and raw chili, deep fried in batter.However, the sausage and mash was extremely nice! I'd highly recommend that. I'd definitely return here afrer a long study session to relax and chat to the locals (who are very friendly!)Overall a great pub with a lovely cozy vibe to it! Please visit it!

Tonight was my first time coming to this pub, but honestly I have nothing absolutely nothing bad to say about this pub. The staff are really friendly and give you a warm welcome,the atmosphere is a very positive one and the food is so amazing you'll love it. I highly recommend this pub to anyone passing through Wheatley you shall not be disappointed.

This place is incredible. Great staff, owner, atmosphere and the best of all is the food! The food is incredible and when you consider that 2 of us ate starters, main course and drinks for £40 its great value. Certainly not busy enough for the quality that these guys serve.

Lovely little pub located close to Oxfordbrook university Wheatley campus. Really friendly service and lots of original features and good outdoor seating area. Food was average but in all a decent quick stop.

Welcoming and convivial. Crisp and clean with cold beer, great starters and prompt service. We shall return.

Very nice pub for break while driving on M40. Delicious Sunday Roast and desserts. Dog friendly :)

We had our Easter roast dinner here for the 1st time and was really impressed. The kids roast had everything the adults roast had but just smaller. Still a great size though! The veggie dinner had everything but the meat, and was really nice. Makes a nice change for vegetarians to have a roast option as most places offer a different option, like a lasagne or something.Great service, friendly atmosphere and staff. We will definitely be back.
