My wife and I needed a break to get away for a couple of days and I found this place online and it was brilliant! Staff were very attentive and helpful, the rooms are amazing and the the place had a lovely open fire when we arrived there is so much history within the building and the breakfast was more than enough to set you up for the day. Some of the gardens were out of bounds due to work being carried out but we look forward to going back and seeing what they have done with them. Altogether a great place, peace and quite and yet its only 10 mins from Oxford and Bicester village.

Afternoon tea, a treat from my family, and it was not what we had expected. To relate in detail what a poor experience this was would take far too long. For an Afternoon tea costing £37.50 per person I think we quite rightly should have expected to feel special, well attended to and fabulous food. It started well with the grounds and hotel looking splendid but then it all fell apart. Surely even if you are short staffed, as we were repeatedly told, a welcoming smile and greeting should be a given. We were booked in for 2pm - we finally got our food at 3pm which was nothing like indicated on your website. Two finger sandwiches each chicken or cheese, TEN all fruit, no plain, crispy scones (we assume this was to make up for the lack of pavlova, panna cotta, brownies etc) served with only enough cream and jam for one person, we did ask for more but that didn’t come. What was described as a chocolate mousse, although it looked like chocolate it didn’t taste chocolaty? A small ramekin dish with at most two strawberries and another ramekin with truffles. I left my family to sort out the bill as I felt so upset at the poor service and food but mostly for my family who thought they were giving me a wonderful experience. They said the staff member apologised and did reduce the bill but my day had been ruined.

Visited Khalid the managing director a really nice man. He gave me a conducted tour around the ancient building parts dating from 1066, it really is the most enchanting hotel. Definitely a re-visit on the cards for a lunch.

I attended the Victorian Christmas Market which was hosted at the Manor Country House Hotel. There was a great range of crafts, food and items from local businesses. The decor and atmosphere at the Manor was great for the children and definitely captured the Christmas ambience. The food served from the hotel's restaurant was of 5* quality (with very reasonable prices), and this was accompanied by delightful service.Lastly, the Manor did well to retain its historic and antique feel whilst modernising the interior.

Lovely customer service, I went for a Halloween event and they decorated it beautifully! The building and courtyard were stunning as well , would definitely recommend.

We have just left the manor . Feeling very relaxed. We booked a 1 night stay with dinner bed & breakfast for our anniversary. We was slightly early for our check-in so we enjoyed warming up by the fire and having a coffee in reception. We then was informed we had been upgraded to the Bridal Suite! It was amazing. I would really recommend the Bridal Suite , the jacuzzi bath made our little stay that bit more special looking out on to the grounds especially with the dusting of snow thismorning. All the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming.

It's all been newly renovated, I had the pleasure of visiting very recently and even now it's still being improved every day. Totally transformed into a luxury upscale hotel and event venue. Old photos on here are completely inaccurate now!Currently has some wonderful Christmas decorations up, including a stunning hanging tree in one of the main rooms.Owner is very lovely and accomodating, would definitely recommend a visit.

Good luck to anyone trying to speak to them to book a wedding.E-mailed twice, left my number 3 times with reception even asked for the general manager to call me back.Nothing.... Shocking.

I went for afternoon tea with my girlfriend and my baby. The service was really good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were even given a quick tour and history of the house. The house itself is very beautiful and the renovations are only adding to it. The afternoon tea was served in a nice room and was very nice. The only small grumble i had was that being a big hungry boy I would of liked a few more sandwiches. I would definitely recommend and we plan to go back and stay over as the grounds were very nice.
