The Stags Head in Cherwell

The place is beautiful. We was meant to stay here Saturday, unfortunately there was a power cut and was unable to stay as we had to get ready to go to family wedding. The 5 stars are for how lovely the staff were and how understanding they was. They have such a beautiful place.

Really lovely pub. The food is fantastic and always well worth the visit. It’s really friendly, and a lovely outdoor seating area.

What a lovely pub! Stayed here in one of their very comfortable, well appointed rooms after receiving a warm welcome from the friendly grekj family that run the place. Had a delicious Greek meal for dinner. All in all a treat & also superb value for money.

Very hospitable staff, very clean and well-appointed room and in a great location. We'll be returning for one of their Greek nights!!

Really welcoming hosts, clean and comfortable room, food was excellent, highly recommended.

Stayed here for one night. A great night's sleep and breakfast in the morning. The landlord was very helpful and friendly. Was a good base for us visiting our daughter in Banbury. Would recommend staying here and would no doubt book again if we need to be in the area again.

Lovely stop for a swift half and bacon sandwich on a local walk. Greek themed food plus British on the menu also. Very friendly Landlord and Landlady. Dog friendly too!

Such a treat finding wonderful Greek food in Oxfordshire! We also had a delicious roast dinner here! All the staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome (including the dog!). Really liked that there wasn't a "kids menu" just smaller portions of the normal one perfect for a family meal! Will definitely visit again!
