The Trigger Pond in Cherwell

This place is a real gem, from the amazing welcome by the bar manager to the goodbye 5hrs later when we left, everything was incredible.The Sunday roast was out of this world, never had pork cooked so well, the sirloin roast was just as well prepared and presented.The game changer was the sausages with honey mustard *chef kissesOur afternoon was spent in the sun in the impressive bear garden, well spaced for family’s, small groups and plenty of space for doggies!We ended our visit with the s’mores and cheese board with extra crackers ( thanks chef!) never had a prettier cheeseboard and the s’mores board has entered my top 5 desserts of the past 10 yrs…..Lastly, if you do visit, I hope you meet Natalie.Who is frankly the most outstanding server I have ever encountered. Having worked in hospitality and run busy venues I’ve not across anyone like Natalie; who has the biggest smile, consider and measured approach in serving tables and the most infectious energy that leaves you giddy with warmth and wanting to be her bestie.

Didn't eat there but looked busy but staff said it was a quiet Tuesday night. Car park full. Drinks good staff pleasant. Will give more informed review when I return.

This should be 4.5 stars - we were a large party and delayed in sitting down due to previous diners overstaying. One of our party had to ask twice for their drink order (20 minute wait) but other than that the service was very friendly and good. The Sunday roast menu is something to behold and all our party left well fed and satisfied.

Packed with people in the sunshine, a great place with great staff. Good food catering well for vegans and intolerances. A little bit more expensive than expected and overall a good experience.

Top quality food. Very big portion size. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Bonus was dog friendly was sitted in the cozy bar area. Really lovely place and highly recommended

Really nice country pub with an excellent interior space and lovely quirky garden .....food and service was very good too ! Pity there was not a greater selection of real ales to choose from but that aside definitely a pub I would happily visit again .....shame it's so far from home !

Was just brilliant! From the service to the food! 10/10 from us!Menu has a great selection of meals and a lovely variety. Portions are generous and equal the value of the meals.Staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is to much to ask for.Cant wait to be back
