If you want to taste the best chicken fingers in Banbury then give the Reindeer Inn a visit. Hot fresh succulent and very tasty with their garlic mayo dip. Great ales too 😀👍😋

Fantastic old pub with a good range of beers, excellent food and friendly staff. Called in Saturday lunch, very cosy atmosphere and virtually all tables fully occupied.

I wish I could give it 0 stars but I can’t! Possibly the worst meal in my entire life. The stuff was hostile, probably brexeteers and didn’t like foregneirs or just straight rude. The steak and Ale pie was so dry and the beef as hard as a shoe. The roasted potatoes old and dry, also reheated in the microwave. How does this place get 4.5 stars????? Never again.

A beautiful step back to a different, cozy time. If you want brash, shiny and sterile, then this loveliness is not for you. Move along. For the rest of us, you won't fail to relax and enjoy here.

Had a lovely family meal here. 30 including children and not a single hiccup! Staff were amazing, food was great and room was fab. First time seeing family all together for a long time so it really felt special! Thanks to the team for making it so stress free!

No complaints on thus one 👌Vegan Katsu curry - a breaded vegan patty covered in a rather tasty homemade sauce, the rice was a bit generic but overall a good eat.Fish and chips - a staple of the menu, good portion size and not too greasy. Overall another good mealWild mushrooms and Pesto linguine - oh deer 🦌, I am afraid we were not a fan of this one. The whole meal was very very overpowered by mushroom, the only relief was the sheer amount of oil that had sunk to the bottom of the bowl. I went to a party in the globe room recently. A lovely room upstairs with lots of character and a rawing fire on a freezing cold evening. Food was very good apart from vertically no crumble on the fruit crumble but lots of lovely mixed fruit and custard. Loved the pink G&T though. Lovely atmosphere. I would definitely go there again.

Hook Norton Inn, with supposedly the best burgers in Banbury. Well, I couldn't let an assertion like that go untested, could I?Burgers are chicken breast or vegan. I chose their classic Reine Deer Burger, which came with bacon and BBQ sauce, three fine onion rings and French fries.Very nice. The flavour combination of the breaded chicken with the BBQ sauce and bacon was smart and the sides were well done too.Unfortunately, I now have to try every other burger place in Banbury, or I can let my judgement of this as an excellent burger be my guide. I think I'll let the matter rest.

A brilliant place for a great lunch, or a nice drink, we've been a few times now!The vegan options are comprehensive and taste great, we can absolutely recommend the vegan 'chicken' tenders, although the garlic rubbed fries are a very close second.I don't think we've found anything sub par on the menu yet at all.
