Badgers in Chichester

We pass by this pub all the time on our travels to Littlehampton. This weekend we stopped off for a mid hike drink. It was a very fancy atmosphere, lovely decor and friendly bar lady. The garden is pretty and the table names were very original. We will definitely be returning to try the food in the future.

I've stayed regularly at Badgers and they do the 3 B's very well.. the beds, the baths, the breakfast!!On this occasion a friend and I stopped for an early dinner on the way back from Goodwood.... Friendly welcome, efficient but relaxed service, and delicious food...We had the Tapas selection and Charcuterie starter between us accompanied by chilled water and a pot of tea... lemon tort and coffee to finish....all for £55 ....

We came in late from travelling and the ladies were so amazing, though the kitchen has almost completely shut down we were still able to get the little one some nuggets and chips and chips and cheese board for us. The staff were super sweet and our 6 year old had an amazing time, leaving excited and happy. Big thank you. Amazing place. Amazing staff. And great value to money

It’s not often that you happen across a rural pub that exceeds all expectations. Nice ambiance and decor, cheery, attentive staff, good tap beers and freshly prepared, well cooked meals (seafood tapas in our case). Highly recommended.

Really loved the food. My wife had food envy after I chose the Zarzuela which I cannot recommend highly enough. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We came on the way home from the Goodwood Supercar Sunday Breakfast Club and will get a table booked for our journey after the Festival Of Speed.

Only had a meal here on 27/04/22 as it was my partner’s Birthday. The service and hospitality were excellent. The best thing was the Champagne (Upperton Nebula from Petworth) has got to be one of the best Sparkling Brut We have ever tasted.Definitely will love to come back again and try more from the fantastic menu - you’re Chef is a credit to your team.

An excellent breakfast here did much to compensate for a chilly night spent beneath an inadequate duvet. The bedroom was large; the bathroom huge. But there is only a bath with a hand shower. Access after hours is through a side gate and then a door. Keys are provided; a torch essential. Coffee and tea making facilities were provided but our Nespresso machine was jammed. Clean. Staff friendly. Busy bar at night.

Loved our stay at Badgers this week! Comfortable cosy rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was super and the whole place had a lovely vibe. Also loved the real log fires. Thank you all at Badgers.

I grew up at Badgers and returned for my mother’s birthday lunch yesterday- we were blown away by how gorgeous it was!The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the dog was welcome too (such a nice surprise!) and the menu was amazing. Fresh fish and mussels and a good mix of beautifully chosen meats too. All presented really nicely. The most delicious thing we tried was the Spanish seafood casserole- none of us had tasted anything so authentic, fresh and delicious in the uk before! It was amazing!Great selection of wines and they were kind enough to bring out a slice of cake with a candle in it so we could all sing happy birthday!Was such a wonderful experience and I just wish I lived closer so could go more often. Wish our local pubs were as excellent. Petworth are very lucky to have such a fabulous gastro pub nearby!

Came here after walking at Petworth Park, food was lovely and the staff were really friendly. They didn't have changing facilities I could use for my young toddler, so allowed me to use one of their rooms upstairs to change her which I thought was very kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
