The tables in the entrance werenāt clean, smudges of dirt all round. The light went off while I was taking a 2 in the bathroom, the toilet seats were sliding off in one cubicle, there are 2 cubicles, when youāre try to open the door to leave the bathroom, there wasnāt much space behind me so pulling the door open I had to hit the door behind me and push it open with my back to have enough space to exit the bathroom.I went to go upstairs and the lights werenāt on so it suddenly became a horror movie setting where I genuinely feared some serial killer staying the night may be lingering in the dark, itās right next to main road junctions, the room upstairs where Iām having my first aid training is like a wooden Lego room, 3 dummies & a projector from 2002, with the tiniest projector screen šŗ but thatās not the hotelās faultā¦ā¦..Iāll continue when I have more things to stick on the 0.6 star hotel.Iāve only been here 15 minutes.

I've travelled a lot for work down the years and rarely hit on such a well- run hotel. It feels as though the owners/ managers (whoever is making the decisions) understand exactly what people want. I'm hesitant to tell you how good this place is, in case I can't get a booking next time I want to come back. Which I so will. The infrastructure is well maintained, with marble and Silestone clean clean bathroom, with an air exchange rather than noisy extractor. Shower is powerful and hot. No toiletries, but, honestly, don't you always bring your own preferred products anyway? Room is huge for this class of hotel, with loads of clothes storage space - and the bed is firm and cosy. You can open a window a bit to get air in, and we realised after 24 hours that we'd not even thought about the temperature (you know how, in some hotels, you're always freezing or boiling and constantly fiddling with thermostat?) Decor is simple and not in-ya-face. Only glitch - no actual bedside reading light or phone charge socket, but there is mood lighting and plenty of sockets around the room. Some of my fave parts of this place .... there's a warm clean pool, a powerful jacuzzi that runs for more than 3 minutes at a go, a clean (and properly hot) steam room, a sauna. Small, but well set- up, gym. Friendly and super efficient staff in all the areas. Breakfast with decent quality food, (not the nasty cheap bread and sausages etc, as you do often find in smaller hotels); good quality proper thick plain yoghurt, (not those horrid little pots of sugary stuff you often see). Was happy to see Fair-trade tea being used as well. Staff constantly replenished the items and tidied up. Every time a guest spilled some milk or cereal on the side, it was wiped away. And then ... something I've almost never seen ... proper full room service. (Swoons in joy). Usually, hotels offer a pitiful tiny restricted menu for room service, and who the hell wants a toastie for their evening meal? Some hotels make you feel like you're being punished for not bothering to make it down to the dining room š I think this is the first time outside of travelling in Asia that I've found a room service menu which permits you to have anything you want, *exactly as on the restaurant menu*, up in your room. And it arrived fast and with no fuss. And ... real food! The food here isn't that horrible 'deep freeze to deep fat fryer' stuff you often encounter in UK. I had a decent salad, a good cheeseboard, a yum home made (and large portion) creme caramel, with proper crispy brulee on the top. Later, tried the tortellini in spicy sauce - also excellent, proper home made sauce. I've often gone home from a weekend break feeling like I've eaten rubbish all the time and desperate for some fresh real food and something healthy. Sometimes it's possible to go 48 hours without seeing a salad leaf in a UK hotel. Not here. You're gonna leave here feeling great, if you want to. A great place for a simple mini spa break and I guess they've chosen to stay at the top of the 3 star category, rather than chase the 4. But I've been in many 4 stars which offer much less. Honestly, I could move into this place for a month, it's lovely. Now I'm gonna regret sharing all this, aren't I? But it was too good a gem find not to shout about.

Visited over a weekend for a do. Food was excellent on both evenings and the buffet breakfasts had everything you expect. Rooms are a good size and the spa looked good; didn't use it though. Great spot for exploring Chichester, Goodwood and the South Coast.

We stayed as part of a large function. The hotel was clean and well presented. The food was to a good standard and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Although the rooms have have a recent update, some things are still showing their age, like the bathroom and the windows.

The staff was really nice and helpful. We stayed for a weekend and the whole team was hospitable. Dean and his dad were very kind to us considering we were a big family group. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the pool and jacuzzi. I will recommend to others and would definitely visit again. Nice cozy place.

An excellent weekend had by us as a party of 40. Service and food was excellent and staff couldnāt have been more helpful. The other reviews say the hotel was looking tired but not that i could see. All public rooms were smart and tidy. The room we had on the ground floor was in excellent order and clean. Ok the garden could do with a tidy, but so could mine!!!!Plenty of parking and bus to central Chichester on 2 minutes away and a 10 minute trip.Would happily go back.

It's okay for a 3 star Hotel. Carpets were very frayed in the room and hairdryer didn't work. Room was a great size (although TV to small for the room) and bed was very comfy. The staff were brilliant and very helpful

We stayed here for 3 nights. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised. Nothing was too much to ask for from filling up our bottles most days to placing ice cream in the fridge. The hotel was clean friendly and the pool was a little gem. I would say relaxed and perfect. I really enjoyed my stay here for a 3 star this hotel was an example of great cleanliness friendly staff and overall good service. I would not say anything was bad. Great location good to visit Portsmouth like we did. Next time will prob stay longer then 3. Breakfast was outstanding to the fried choice and then the fresh quality fruit or small pastries. Decaff was cool I had a big cafe tiere each breakfast. Just over all great choice!
