This is a lovely little cafe and shop in a beautiful estate. Everywhere is well looked after, clean, and quaint. They have a wide range of cafe foods like cakes and nibbles, and the farm shop sells lovely products and plants too. It was quite busy when I visited, which shows that it is a popular place to visit. Also - the iconic yellow window frames show which buildings are part of the Cowdray estate which makes the area unique.

Nicely surprised to find this place - premium quality produce (mostly organic &/or hand made food products) in a little mini-village setting comprising of what appears to be converted barns. Beef & ale pie was amazing!

If you're looking for top of the range food and wine products, you'll find it all here. Pricier than the local Waitrose for sure, but everything here will surely make you go yum. The cheese selection in particular is very tasty!

Excellent lunch. Arrived c. 1215. So not wait to be seated. But it got busy quickly after that. You pay more but its worth it. Lovely staff. Delicious food well presented in a pleasant atmosphere. Really enjoyable. Good varied menu. And picked up couple of sweet treats on way out for later!

Super good food, lovely setting, and attentive service. Reasonably priced and all very well curated, from then menu choices to the variety at the farm shop. Would not miss it if you are in the area.

Lovely farm shop, excellent produce meat, veg, bakery etc. A tad expensive, but good quality. Nice cafe, serves very good food, and has an outside area to sit. Gift shop, and a good walk to town, popular with dog walkers.

Breakfast at Cowdray! After a lovely walk along the South Downs , we decided to do Christmas shopping at the Cowdray Farm shop and then have a full Christmas .The dinning room lovely .. think we arrived when staff were all waking up !!Arrived after 9 am and we were seated .Ordered fresh juice , and menus .Awaited for 15 minutes to get the food order , had to get up and go to the counter to get some attention .A bit disappointed in lack of service .Ordered breakfast , a mixed verity of eggs from poached to scrambled and fried .All in all was an average breakfast , mushrooms were not sautéed and more boiled and slimy .Baked beans Heinz specialty and bacon was bacon slightly limp .Sausage was good , plate was warm .The server we had was new , and probably required some more training , tipping the orange juice over the table when placing them on table .Service disappointing , breakfast very average .

An excellent place take lunch and stock up on high-quality produce. Many recent visits have been very rewarding, specifically the Café Lunch 'Soup of the Day' and dessert options. The Farm shop boasts an incredible selection of beautiful cheeses, meats and seasonal vegetables. The staff here are very polite, professional and possess a great deal of knowledge when requiring serving suggestions. Highly recommended.

A weekend lunchtime visit to Cowdray Farm Shop & Cafe.A picturesque and very well kept location with a fantastic farm shop and a great cafe.Lots to browse through in the farm shop including wines, cheeses and a local butchery.Next door was the cafe with plenty of inside and outside seating. We had coffees and a BLT and avocado and tomato on sourdough. Both were very well presented and tasted great! Good coffee too. Top marks to our waitress who had a good chat with us while taking our order and checking that we had everything we wanted and were enjoying our food.Express pizza and cake area too for freshly made pizzas at lunchtime.Plenty of outside seating at picnic tables in the field and a polo match was in progress when we visited. We will definitely be back again! If you found this useful please like 😃👍🏻

First class service. The staff could not do enough for us. We had lunch here and it was fantastic. We then got a take away coffee from the outdoor hatch and the service was equally as good. The grounds are stunning as are the ruins. Would defiantly recommend.
