Crumbs and Creams in Chichester

The service was good, the food was tasty but most of it was cold.

Just refurbished and now named Arcobaleno (Rainbow in Italian). And what a beautiful, fresh, vibrant change.Rebecca the manager, is a very welcoming friendly host and her team are a credit to her (a mini Milan).Chris is the chef, Emily the coffee connoisseur, Kiera the pancake queen, and Sarah is the cog which holds everything together.Found, tucked away half way down South Street, opposite the Grape Tree.Their new social media is already setup up so please find them on Instagram and follow them there under new name.Why am I so happy to have found this place? My wife is disabled, and as soon as we walked through the door the staff where setting out a table suitable for us. Excellent service before we even sat down and it got better and better. Let's support our local small businesses.

2017 5 starsThis is my favourite place to lunch. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and wonderful freshly made food. I just wish there was one in Parklands, one in Summersdale.....Update December 2021 3 starsMy husband and I went one Saturday, it was quiet, service was quick food was good as always. As we were deciding on pudding some new customers arrived, they were told it was takeaway only as they'd be closing at 3pm. I dont believe there was a sign and nobody mentioned the early closing when we came in, just told us to grab a menu and get seated and come back down to order. Everyone upstairs must have heard the exchange as we all checked the time and we all left about the same time.My son and his girlfriend, on our recommendation, went on a Saturday about 2pm, they were told no hot food so made do with a coffee and cake. They were the only ones in there so managed to get the window seat overlooking the street. From here they could still hear the two girls making derogatory comments about her. As you can imagine she was upset, they made a swift exit as soon as they were finished.I don't know what is going on but this is not the level of service I am used to from this establishment. I have never known the staff to be so rude. Surely Saturday's should be their busiest time? Yet they seem to be closing early.

Quiet, but good coffee. A bit on the small size inside, but we didn't go upstairs. Quite acceptable for Pit stop in town.

The food and drink I had was fine, however the sitting area had obviously not been vacuumed and the stair bannister and opposite wall desperately need a coat of paint. If you cannot climb stairs you will probably have to give this place a miss. The staff were helpful from what I saw and you can get take away. The front door sticks on opening so be careful, don't understand why a problem like that persists, surely they want to make it as easy to get in as possible?

After wandering Chichester, l was looking for somewhere to have a nice lunch. I found this place near the Cathedral and the food was very good. I would recomend eating here.

Twice I made the mistake to walk in here, because I was being lazy...but, I learned my lesson! What an awful S***y place! First time, I told the staff I wanted to have my slice of cake freshly cut, not the last piece left from previous day probably dry! But guess what, she bought me the dry slice! Unbelievable! You pay to get what you dont want! Second time, I ordered a milk shake and thought not much can got wrong with a milk shake, but...alas! It can! It was just water, sugar and artificial flavour for £4! I didnt drink, and when I went to pay, I show the staff it was horrible and I couldn't drink, they say ' oh, ok-sorry' - didnt offer to replace, discount, nothing! Disgusting place and service. Dont stop by! Chichester have way better places to eat!

First impression... The main door requires maintenance, very hard to open and difficult to negotiate. Especially when you're holding a hot coffee and trying to open the very stiff door. An accident waiting to happen.Coffee was ok as was the cake, the serving staff could be a little more enthusiastic too.

We were a group of four and only popped in for a tea/coffee. Whilst we didn't eat the cakes and other food looked really good. The staff were friendly and efficient. I'm sure we will visit again next time we are in Chichester.

I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoy this tea shop. The food is top class and the staff have always made me and my family welcome. I didn't notice that afternoon teas were only available from 2pm but they went out of their way to do it for my daughter at 12 o'clock as it was her birthday and it was something she wanted. The food itself is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. The menu caters for all and be aware that it is not just a tea shop, it serves hot meals and breakfast too. Enjoy, we certainly do.
