The licensee is a gem. Old fashioned service, really welcoming, and surprisingly good beer. Best, though, was the food. Deviled kidneys -best I've ever had.

Great English pub. The food was excellent. Enjoyed the fish and chips - even the good natured tease when I asked for ketchup. Atmosphere is perfect

This pub is an absolute delight. The staff create a very welcoming atmosphere. The owner loves his business and does everything he can to ensure his customers have a great time. The food is excellent. They even manage to lift the usual pub roast to another level. Everything was very tasty and prepared with care.A lovely touch was the good quality crockery and cutlery, and what a nice surprise to have a real linen napkin.

Stylish pub/restaurant that's still cosy and comfortable. The food (on a Sunday) was really excellent. The service (and one senses the management too) was fast, friendly and efficient. Will go back as there is much more to explore on the menu.

Great little pub /restaurant I stumbled on today in passing. Called in for a snack and was presented a Menu that read like any top restaurant. I had two starters - deviled kidneys and smoked duck beast, both of which were lovely.

Only the second time here but first from the opening up after lockdown. Certainly things have been difficult for the on trade and great to see them back. Certainly all been refreshed with some new areas for eating outside. The menu is full of local ingredients and the wine list although not extensive is full of interesting wines. The staff were pleasant and helpful although l think some training is still in progress. Overall, a very good lunch with lovely people in a super environment and l would certainly go back again.
