Halima Indian Takeaway in Chichester

I have been fortunate enough to eat Indian foods around the Uk including Leeds, Birmingham and London. In my opinion the food at Halima Take away in Bracklesham Lane beats them all.We always look forward to one when we come to visit.Thanks 🙏

Have used Halima for years as our go to takeaway delivery to Nunnington Farm campsite, always recommended to anyone who asks.However, ordered at 7.28pm tonight, they said it wld be up to an hour as they were busy. No problem! After several calls between 8.30 and 9.30 they kept saying it was on its way……. Over 2 hours from ordering and never sent! They kept lying and because of this we will never use them or recommend again. Always had good service and honesty but can’t trust them. Avoid if you’re hungry!

Rang up and ordered a delivery at 7:30pm was told it would be up to an hour wait. After an hour we called and were told it was just being packed up. 20 minutes later we called again and a guy who introduced himself as the driver said that it again was just being packed up and he would deliver it himself. We waited a further 15 minutes and again called at first they was asking us what the order was ( I'm unsure as to how they did not know what we had ordered after all of this time) and the same guy said it hadn't left but was leaving and would be 10 minutes . After waiting for over two hours we rang for the last time to be told it still had not left to which we told them it was too late. The guy on the phone seemed arrogant and full of lies.

Ridiculously late , food was appalling . Avoid at all costs !

Don’t be put off by the shabby shop front. The food is the important thing and this places produces great curries. Friendly staff, generous portions, reasonable prices. 👨🏽‍🍳

Late delivery, wrong order, tried to call but constanly engaged, best bit was the delivery driver, never order from there again

The food was an hour late. We called and were told it was on its way (already 20 mins late) then took another 25 mins to arrive (7mins from ours to them) called again to find out where it was and got a very rude man who then hung up on us when we asked to cancel the order and refund the amount. Food ended up arriving 1hr late. No compensation for our awful experience. Lamb was tough, chicken was sweet, cauliflower bhaji was awful. All in all, stay away from here.

Starting with 3 stars because of the price. 10% more than London, after a 10% cash discount. I'll reconsider after I've tried the food.Reconsidered, it was good. Friendly service.
