Utterly off the pace.We were seated fairly quickly, that’s about the end of the positives. Ordering food took a while and delivery of food too an utter age. In the mean time, drinks ran dry and we had to prompt wait staff multiple times for replacements, that’s just not good enough. The food took a good 70-90 mins to come which is just too long. And furthermore it was so bland, a supermarket microwave meal would have been better. Just no flavour and far too Western. If you’ve been to India, Pakistan or Bangladesh or anywhere remotely similar, you’ll know good food, this isn’t it.Additionally we had to ask to pay more than 3 times and after 30mins or so, we decided to go to the bar and force action.A very poor showing, don’t bother.

I had such a lovely celebration meal tonight, the staff are always lovely and go the extra mile by giving me a free bottle of prosecco to celebrate!

Best Indian restaurant in Chichester hands down, happy helpful staff, good size portions, tasty every time, reasonable prices and a selection with some unusual choices as well as the standard fayre.

A delightful place with very good attentive service. A warm friendly atmosphere with deliciously tasty food that was reasonably priced and a second visit is definitely on the cards.

What a wonderful eating experience! Chris Luck, our friend recommended this place and it was everything we expected it to be, the atmosphere, the waiters, the food was ex Cellent

Very good quality food, the service can be a little slow when they are busy but it is always worth the wait. The seating is a little tight but this seems to add to the atmosphere unless you are on the edge when the waiters need to get past, so watch out for this when they offer you a table. I would recommend the India Gate to anyone who loves their good quality curries.Thumbs up if you found this helpful!

I have to start off by saying the food was good and very filling. That is the only positive I have to take from this experience, as you can tell a negative one, especially as this was a family meet up and one of our family members flew in from America. The first negative of the night was that our waitor couldn't actually talk our language properly, as ressabile as this sounds I know. This feeds into my next negative which is that the explanation for our meal being wrong was unclear.Eventually, what happened( what I think) was the manager had to come over and talked clearly and resolved the issue.Would I come back again? I think so as I this restraunt has more to offer.
