John Lewis Cafe in Chichester

Travelled from Hove as is apparently our nearest John Lewis. We were wanting to buy a dining table and chairs. We were greeted by great staff who helped us identify the table we had seen on line , and also helped us match chairs we had seen. Izzy was standout. There were IT glitches which we had noted that morning, but Izzy was great in identifying other partners who were able to help. We fed back our satisfaction to Izzy and we were surprised to hear that she had been in post a week. JLP have struck gold in their recruitment. I’m sure this will be a rewarding career for her and very many happy customers

Ellie was extremely helpful and educational, even when she knew we wouldn't be buying a pram that day. Gave really good tips and advice. Nothing was too much trouble. Will be booking the consultation at my local John Lewis from her advice.

We have spent a lot of money here over the years and the process has always been very slick and staff very helpful when we have visited the Chichester store. I recently made a large purchase which needed to be returned and the lady in returns could not have been more rude or obstructive - her attitude was astounding. If I had the time I would write to Head Office to complain as this is not the sort of behaviour that I would ever expect from anyone within the John Lewes brand. Hopefully JL will take note of this review however in the meantime if you have any sort of return, I would suggest going to an alternative store!

Must have chosen the perfect time to go, no queues either in car park or store. Staff at store as courteous/helpful as one would expect. Store bright and clean too.

It’s a great place for the great quality products and the best staff. I have visited the store to buy the dinner set and been served by an Indian lady in the store and she is incredibly helpful. She has showed many options to match my mom’s requirements with patience and same pleasant smile through out the conversation. The staff at the till also offered the help to bring the stuff to the car. We are really happy for the service by the staff and the purchase.Great 👍

Maybe it’s just us but we struggle with good service at this store. Having had brilliant customer service at an independent camera store in Chi, we called in to purchase a printer ( 15/2/2022 approx 4.30pm) There were five staff in the department and not one person was serving, nor did they offer any service to us. I just don’t get it. Are they just too well paid to bother to make a sale?

Horray! John Lewis is offering WhatsApp contact re a query. Boo! It's nosey and doesn't deliver. A small, local purchase was all I needed to know about. Obvs they are interested in big purchasers, not the likes of l'il old me.

I find it difficult to describe how poor the cheese sandwich in the cafe is. It’s thin brown industrial bread with the merest suggestion of butter and the meanest slices of cheese I have ever encountered in a cafe. Simply awful. (NB the photo isn’t quite representative as I had extracted the cheese to have with a piece of ciabatta that went with the soup - which wasn’t bad)

This is a nice John Lewis. Quite small but pleasant enough for a browse. The coffee shop is quite good and usually quite busy. Clean toilets. A good selection of electrical goods etc. Plenty of furnishing and homestead too.. Always a pleasant browse with ample parking too

The store inside is looking great for Christmas with lots of very nice decorations and Christmas trees. But my reason for being here was for tech in particular a large monitor for my PC which I had heard was going for a great price. They had it but only the display model so a member of staff has sent an email to me for when new stock arrives I will know.A big thank you John Lewis.
