Excellent. Best fish and chips I have had for a long time

Used to love this place but since the owner passed away god bless him it has gone down hill. I had a donner kebab last night and I know it was late as I had just finished work but it was the worst one I've ever had from anywhere. The young lady behind the counter asked for someone to come over and put the grill back on for me and all I heard was ( use what is left in the pot that had obviously been there for hours. That wouldn't of happened with the gentleman that was originally in charge safe to say I will not be going back again. Such a shame

Ordered 3 medium haddock and chips on bank holiday Monday afternoon. Just short of £30. The fish batter was over cooked and really greasy and most of the chips were little bits of crisp. Very disappointed and won’t be returning.

One excellent friendly member of staff. Great fish. Average chips

Ordered via Uber Eats. Excellent, fast service and the fish was a delight - good size, batter and taste, (and I'm picky) so really top notch for a reasonable price. Only 4 stars because the chips were undercooked and flabby, but I realise that although we like ours very crispy, some people do like their chips that way...anyway, once finished off in a red-hot pan they were OK so overall recommended

Bought a prawn kebab to try and it was disgusting, prawns defrosted straight from the microwave and they were still half frozen when I tucked in at home. Chucked the rest away. And then last week I fault I'd give them another try, so I order a large doner kebab, was pretty standard, a little dry and very small for a large one.Edit: it was your shop as before then I used to always get doner kebab. It was before the lockdown.

I ordered from LA fish via Deliveroo because they provide gluten free options, which is crucial as my son has celiacs disease, which we never seem to be able to cater. I ordered everything gluten free so we could share safely, and ordered myself some curry sauce. The care that has gone into letting me know that the curry sauce is not suitable for gf really made my day. So often companies and restaurants don’t even do the minimum for allergens and intolerances, so to have them go above and beyond is wonderful. Plus the food is really good overall. Thank you!

Another disappointing visit. Not as good as they used to be. Large cod turned out to be not that large as half the size was thick over cooked batter. The fish meat was very dry. Second time I’ve experienced this.

Amazing Gluten Free Fish and Chips! It is so nice to be able to have a local gluten free fish and chip shop. Great service when I ordered over the phone helpful and friendly. I was informed you can order online now too via their website. My husband and family also enjoyed the regular fish and chips.Delivery was swift.
