Whilst I know the pub, we'd never been to a function here, but chose it for the wake of my late Grandfather. The staff were superb, the catering beautiful and plentiful, and occasionally bar staff would appear like magic with extra chips for us all (my family enjoy a drink and these were very welcome). Gorgeous rooms, and the boogley eyes are a stroke of genius...

Perfect spot for lunch. Good food excellent service. A little gem in a busy city overwhelmed by ‘brands’

What a fantastic little Tavern to have lunch in. I had steak with pepper sauce and chips, and a glass of American pale ale. I ordered my steak to be cooked medium, the Chef did a fantastic job cooking the steak, and the pepper sauce was so very tasty. The meal Was spot on, the ale very nice with a background hint of citrus, almost like a marmalade, and surprisingly it had a bit of a kick to it. The Landlord really nice chap and the general ambience of this Tavern was just perfect. I would very much recommend this as a place to visit. I would mark this Tavern 10 out of 10.

Friendly cheerful team serving good (well kept) ale and great food. On a nice day you can sit out front and enjoy the view of Priory Park.

Easily the best pub in Chichester!A beautiful, cosy little pub with friendly staff, great food and an awesome pub quiz (on Tuesdays).Expect a relaxed, welcoming vibe with chatty locals and very reasonable prices. They also do an excellent fish & chips with a 2-4-1 offer on Fridays.Highly recommend popping in!

Scoured Chichester for a nice pub that served a decent light lunch and a coffee. This place was a real find, freshly made pate , a chunky sandwich , good coffee , and a nice glass of wine.Charlee was excellent front of house. It’s refreshing to find a decent , clean venue serving fresh food , with people that enjoy their work

Lovely pub decor is so interesting and I could have looked around for hours. Food looked yummy the beer and wine was very good. Very busy a little tight where we sat but over all a lovely pub.

I was looking for a place to have a meal and drinks with friends when I saw this pub at the end of a side road.Freshly decorated, it stood out and a quick peek through the window confirmed a great selection of beers, whilst the menu posted on the wall had some interesting choices, not the usual repetitive bought in pub food.Three women walking by as I was looking said that it was the best pub in Chichester. They were not wrong, it's simply one of the best pubs I've been in lately and not just in Chichester. The food was truly fabulous; I had the whitebait, home made kedgeree, and home made ice cream, all truly delicious. The ale selection included Fuller's, Gales HSB & Dark Star and the staff were delightful & helpful.I'd give this place 6 stars if it were possible, it was fantastic; simply the gold standard of how to exit a pandemic at the top of your game.

Friendly pub with good ales and customer service. The food was so good on the Saturday that we booked Sunday lunch also. Proper chef cooked food and very tasty. We had the Ox Cheek Pie on the Saturday and a Sunday lunch. The cheese and biscuits was also very tasty. We will be back.
