We stayed here for a wedding nearby, arriving late on a Friday and staying through until Sunday. We'd a great experience, the pub it's self is a really friendly local pub - great beer garden and good car park. David is really friendly as is the chef who took care of us for breakfast. The rooms are really well put together, they are really designed and comfortable and mostly there is great attention to detail (link thin duvets in the hot summer, sparking water - plastic free, great water pressure) they reflect the age and character of the building really well while being comfortable and modern. The only area for improvement in the rooms would be to look at the blinds although black out material, they do let rather a lot of light in around the edges, which means an early rise on a sunny summers day. Black out roman blinds work best within a frame, or if your light sensitive pop an eye mask in your bag.We had breakfast twice and one lunch - breakfast was delicious with a really good quality full English and some tasty continental options. Lunch as well, was really good (as where the several rounds of drinks we had)I'd happily return here again or recommend to others

This is a lovely country pub. The food is outstanding 👌 flavours and presentation are amazing. Pet friendly. Great beer garden, and nice inside too. In winter months the fireplace is always on. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Would strongly recommend.

Lovely 17th century inn with nice Landlord beers. Excellent food menu and friendly staff. Plenty of seating indoors, under a covered patio area and on benches in the large garden.

I ordered the special (beef and spinach pie). It was nice, and well presented, but not special. Portion was quite stingey (I dont think I have ever had a beef pie with less beef in it, and there wasn't much pastry either). It meant I was still hungry, so had to order a portion of chips after I had finished, to fill me up)

What a lovely pub, cosy and welcoming. Food is outstanding. Prawn Tempura yesterday - best I've had. And some Spanish team members so you know their Spanish nights are going to be good. Bravo!
