The place was nice and I'd recommend it but just a few things took the shine off for me.It was quite noisy throughout the night with people allowing the heavy doors to slam in the accommodation. My room was lovely but the shower was tepid and the TV remote was dusty. I imagined things like that to have been sanitised since covid. The breakfast I found a little uninspiring.Checkout was easy and despite there being no parking on site, there was a car park around the corner and free overnight parking in front of the accommodation.Nothing enough to make a complaint about but I came away feeling a touch underwhelmed.

Menu pretty limited and a fair few things off menu. Had fish tacos and pretty lack lustre for the price. Mostly salad barely any fish. Burger seemed much better value. Probably won't go back, shame been going there for years on and off

A lively town centre pub with welcoming friendly staff. Stayed in ensuite outbuilding which was very cosy, warm and clean but there were some pointers: the pillows were terrible and the shower unit had a bad case of mould (Sounds worse than it sounds but it just needs a spray of bleach). Overall a good stay, friendly and fun.

Very friendly staff, a busy pub with a good atmosphere. The room was very warm and cosy but the shower room and a bit of damp, which would be easily remedied. The people upstairs from us were very noisy but that's just bad luck I guess

The service is very friendly. From the outside the pub looks quiet small, but from the inside very big and cosy. It also got a few rooms to stay over the nights and a place to sit outside with beautiful light decoration. My little child and I enjoyed all the attention from the very friendly services. It’s a very clean place too. Mondays they don’t do dinner but the town got some nice restaurants just around the blocks. I recommend this place and will visit again with my son.

Great to see Steak and Kidney pie back on the menu. The pies pre Covid from G & D were to die for. Today's pie was up to pre-Covid standards! Fifth star only withheld pending the return of a choice of pies at this favoured watering hole!

Nice little pub at far end of North Street. Large bar and courtyard covered seating area. I believe there are 10 rooms available for bed and breakfast. Seems friendly and well organised. Breakfast reputation the chef and meals are very good too.

Found this pub when we finished our walk around the walls. Lovely covered outdoor seating area. Lovely friendly staff and brilliant food. Pizza made from scratch which was delicious. Double burger looked homemade too and was pronounced excellent. Felt very safe and they were very clear about how you could move around the environment and where the toilets were etc. It was quite quiet to start with but a couple more people came in after. Will definitely return on our next visit.
