The Lamb Inn West Wittering in Chichester

For the prices they are charging the food is a mixed bag, some very nice dishes, like the spring green salad, others are not worth the money. The way the Sea bass (£21) was cooked it was incredibly plain and not even filleted for you as if that's a bonus!The staff were nice but the kitchen is painfully slow. Waiting an hour between starters and mains etc.For the same price you can eat at much better restaurants!

Visited on Saturday evening without booking in advance. Managed to get the table for 3, but we were told we got an hour to finnish eating because table is booked after. Good variety of alcoholic drinks and good coffee, but no real alternatives for non-alcoholic or caffeine free drinks. Asked for a bottle of still water, but they could only offer tap water. Winter vegetable salad is completely different each time you order, so this time decided to order Fish plate for sharing, which was very average if you consider the price. Loads of dogs and kids in the restaurant, so not ideal you want to eat in peace or have a conversation. I am not a fan of staff wearing trainers, jeans and random crews. After a good first impression the overall score could not be higher that 3 out of 5 - average.

We had the most delicious lunch here from the winter menu. The fish platter was copious and very tasty. I'd recommend the cod stew and the sticky toffee pudding too. We really enjoyed our meals and our children ate well. One of our best pub lunches ever...

This is a great venue, the staff are extremely efficient and easy to book (I booked via email) you receive a rapid response. The varied menu is excellent and they have a separate menu for Gluten Free which is the best I have come across. The ambience is spot on. Clean toilets, lovely outdoor area. If you are staying in East or West Wittering, we would thoroughly recommend - you need to book though. Carol and Chris Prier

Excellent food in a lovely pub atmosphere. The serving staff were attentive and friendly. I'd highly recommend this venue for a couples night out or a small gathering of friends with a taste for good food done well.

Ordered the seafood linguine and what was served up was a plate of what one can only describe as a plate of mush. It had white fish that still had its grey skin attached which had been mashed up and was like pasted together with the linguine which I had to prize apart. It was disgusting. If you can't get it right then take it off the menu!

What a brilliant pub, quirky garden, vocal parrots, pizza oven and even a delicious cocktail. I wasn't expecting any of it. Oh, and fab live music at long long last. Definitely give this place a try. You'll be glad you did.

So happy we decided to stop by. We were warmly received even though we had not booked. The food came quickly and was delicious, complete exceeded expectations. Staff were really cool and friendly. There is no kids play area, but they do have an avery with beautiful birds that my young daughter was obsessed with.

If you’re going to WW then you must come here, perfect place to chill out after a day at the beach or exploring the harbours.Tasty food options and Pizza after in the garden. Good kids menu, drawing paper and crayons too.We visited twice in a week and both times they had live music being performed 5-7pm.Booking is advisable but they do also have walk-in tables available in the garden, which is where you want to be in the summer. Our second visit was as a walk-in.Definitely recommend!
