Second visit to this lovely pub, on a visit to Goodwood. Glorious garden, and delicious chicken flat bread. Superb.

Visited on Sunday and came away feeling incredibly disappointed. The cheese board, at £12.50, consisted of three "slices" about 3mm of cheese and five biscuits with absolutely no garnishes except for a pot of pickle. The children's burger was equally shocking with a bun over twice the size of the most pathetically small patty (imagine a squashed meatball) you've ever seen along, no garnishes at all and some overcooked chips. I do not recommend eating at this pub.

Warm welcome by lovely young ladies . Food was absolutely fantastic. Just what we needed at the end if the evening. Well done 👏

Fabulous Downland pub in the heart of the beautiful village of Singleton. Lovely friendly staff and our lunch was excellent and good value. Big beer garden and cosy traditional interior olde worlde. Nice pub.

Delicious steak & kidney pie. Super friendly staff. Wonderful sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely loved it!!!

·

Good beer and food. Excellent service. Lovely garden (main building pretty good too!)

Great pub with a really nice atmosphere. Excellent food and good value for money. I organised a birthday party there recently- Sunday roast lunch with all the trimmings and a special dessert made to order by the Chef. Our small party was put into the Goodwood Room, which was perfectly comfortable- nice to have a room to ourselves for the occasion. Friendly and efficient service. The only tiny blotch on our otherwise excellent experience- I did find it disappointing that an extra charge was made for bread with a bowl of soup... You ought to include it in the price. Otherwise a job very well done and we will be back next time we're in the area!

Lovely traditional pub with a decent sized garden and outdoor dining area. Very nice home made pizza, freshly cooked in thier clay oven

Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Tried to book and got an answerphone, left my details as requested, but didn't hear back (1 star removed.) Fish and chips was well presented, but the chips were pale and not at all crispy on the outside. The batter wasn't very crisp either on mine, but the gluten free one was perfectly crispy.I hadn't visited for 2 years and it's under new ownership now. I'll visit again as it's a lovely pub and this visit may just have been unlucky. The beer was good.

Pint of Guinness was one of the worst I’ve ever had, vegetarian options were minimal at best and the portions sizes were appalling, I had a £12.50 burger and chips and It came with a handful of small fries. Even the burger tasted like it had been left on the side for weeks then microwaved! The roasted beetroot option was no better £12 for an after lunch snack? Must be a joke. Only thing that gives this pub a single star is that all the staff I interacted with were lovely and very helpful
