The Richmond in Chichester

Can't fault the location at the end of Chichester canal, perfect for after a SUP/kayak session and I will be returning because of this. However there are some things I'd recommend they improve on regarding the mens toilets: Create an hour rota to check the state of them (I was there for a good couple of hours yesterday evening and empty bottles and tissues around the sinks were not cleared away). Check toilet paper (one was empty the whole time). Fix soap dispenser on wall or remove the fixing. Put some posters in the empty frames above the urinals. Clean the black crud on the floor tiles and just generally give them a deep clean. One of those timed air fresheners put on the wall might be a good idea as well, along with some new signs on the front of all the toilets.

Was there the day of the european championship, they refused service simply because we were not Liverpool supporters….what a shame.. anyways… Real Madrid won so karma is truly a bi***!!!

They refused to serve us for carrying a Spanish flag. Don't you get down on your knees to fight discrimination every time you start a sporting act? English chivalry and education as usual only present in its literature, in their imagination and in their cinema just paid by the Queen, you poor anglicans...

It was recommended by a friend, so decided to give it a go. They refused to serve us drinks and were very rude to us. Never coming back or recommending it to anyone.

Terrible place - does not deserve your patronage!! During the Liverpool Real Madrid final they refused to serve a group of people just because they were wearing the Real Madrid colors. How unsportsmanlike!! They do nor represent the great English people…

Racist staff!!!. A disgrace. Treat foreigners like insects. Very much unlike the british people I know. They are not like that. Don´t go.

Lovely staff , good pub

Does not look much from the front but the outside terrace is idillic given its so close to a busy road out front. True to itself inside and with a lovely setting on the canal basin out back it's a hidden treasure

Pity the ice machine had broken down on some of warmest days in September. Pleasant staff, nice outside seating next to canal.
