The Sir Roger Tichborne in Chichester

Extremely friendly welcome from the owner. He allowed us to stop over for the night in our motorhome and couldn't have been more helpful offering fresh water etc. The food was superb and a great ambience with lovely roaring open fire and friendly locals.

We love eating at Sir Roger Tichborne. The menu is broad and very well selected. I always find it hard to choose because I've eaten there regularly and have tried various dishes, all of which quite guinely have been lovely. My current favourites are salt & pepper squid (it's soo good)...and they do a Special Pie of the day or various steaks & sauces.The other reason we really enjoy going there is the staff and the service they offer.In summary this is a great place to dine.

A great traditional country pub, a fab place to walk to for Lunch. My friend and I left full of good home cooked food- definitely recommend the gnocchi ! Thanks as well to the lovely waitress as service was with a huge smile .

The Sir Roger Tichborne was a great stop for lunch after a long walk.Staff were welcoming to us and our dog, with a bowl of water instantly provided - for the dog, not us.We what the choice of a cosey table by the roaring fire or a cooler one.Our foods of chicken pate (starter served as a main) and aubergine gnocchi were delicious. Washed down with a glass of Aspels cider.I would happily visit again… definitely when the weather is warmer to be able to sit in the lovely rear garden.

Great pub with a friendly atmosphere, in the winter they have a log fire going so very cosy. Welcoming to walkers including dogs and a good menu for both food and drink. Well worth a visit!

I absolutely LOVE this country pub! My favourite country pub in Surrey and me being a biker, I have been to quite a few and none surpass this gem! Excellent staff, delicious food and amazing atmosphere! ❤👏Update: If you love a Sunday roast dinner, this is the place to go after a day out! Absolutely delicious and filling!

A new find-we will definitely be back! Gorgeous pub, lovely traditional pub interior and beautiful gardens. Hosts were friendly and helpful and the food… well it was something else! Kids loved their burgers, husband was impressed with the pork belly and I thoroughly enjoyed the smoked salmon sandwich. Well worth a visit!

Exceptional!The best steak my husband has ever eaten (me too he actually allowed me a taste).  The Sea bream was superb.   The service was excellent - a great front man. The pub itself is full of charm and Character.   Lovely pub garden overlooking the fields.Perfect!

First visit today. Food was fab. Great views. Special shout out to Rosie who was serving us, what a laugh that lady is. We'll be going back just to see her again.

This is a must visit place! I'd even advise you to divert your travel for the Bavette steak, a perfectly cooked and balanced sweet and salty steak that melts in your mouth. Plump juicy prawns in our linguine with a generous portion as well.Our starters of scallops and crab bruschetta were simply divine !The staff are super friendly, brought water and treats for my dog and made a fuss of her giving her lots of attention.This is our first time in the area and pub; the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The staff seemed to know a lot of regulars which felt nice. The garden looks onto rolling fields and was a great place to sit in the sun and soak up our holiday.Aspal by the pint is a great addition !A must visit for any foody and anyone who likes their local beers.
