Thank uou so much for the superb food you served us with on sat for the walking group. Your omelette was the best ever. All experienced in your magnificent garden which is so well maintained. Your waitress gave us a super service

What a superb unspoilt pub just a couple of miles from the Petworth Road.Village pubs are closing at an alarming rate, however The Stag Inn has survived and appears to be very well supported by locals.We visited on a Monday evening and the pub was busy. The landlord was very friendly, (as were the other customers) and his beers were in absolutely perfect condition.Although this is a 40 mile round trip for us, we've already planned to return at the weekend

Delicious Sunday lunch (and that’s coming from someone who is fussy with a roast!), warm welcome and great service in a lovely pub with loads of character. Highly recommend.

What a treat on Mother’s Day. Sunday lunch in this lovely old inn. The staff were so friendly and the food better than I had had for a long time. The gravy was to die for. Then we were lucky enough to have our desert in the sunny garden looking over countryside.A shame it’s not nearer so we could return sooner.

Only stopped for a drink but lovely old 18th century pub with good ambience and nice dining areas. Also outdoor dining. The landlady was very friendly and helpful.Very clean. Recommended.

Friendly service. Chef had an off day (first to sit for lunch, last to be served - mix of well cooked and not quite right) but nice place.

Beautiful traditional country pub, called in on the off chance on a busy Saturday lunchtime, very friendly welcome, could only have sandwiches as we hadn't booked but that wasn't a problem as they were absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back and definitely book next time
