Never been to the Star and Garter before dog friendly we sat in garden ,all very clean ,garden pleasant,lots space.staff friendly and efficient, menu excellent varied choices, daily specials, meals well cooked and presented. A good lunch,left feeling relaxed and well fed😀

Visited for Sunday lunch 20 th March. Food was of good quality but when served was very cool. As everyone knows if food is re heated it hS to be thoroughly heated otherwise bacteria grows. I suffered an upset tummy which fortunately only lasted about 12 hours. The other .embers of party we

We’ve just had a fabulous evening. Greeted with a tasty on-the-house stater to try out (utterly delicious) followed by wonderfully imaginative main courses with beautiful presentation. Couldn’t resist pudding, homemade chocolate brownies and cheesecake, just perfect! We’ll be back soon with the rest of the family, thank you.

Had a drink here after our Christmas Eve walk. A really nice vibe and very friendly staff. We didn't eat on this occasion but the food looked good. We will be back to try it soon. 🙂

1st time since covid, but worth the wait definitely the best burger I've had. All of our meals were excellent and cheerful and attentive staff. Will definitely be going back to sample the rest of the menu.

My daughter and I had a fantastic stay here, as we were attending my son's graduation the following day. Lovely warm welcome, beautiful pub and room and the breakfast was delicious.Thank you so much for having us. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing pub lunch here after a big dog walk through the forest. The staff were so attentive & helpful. The owners were so lovely- and went above and beyond ! Great flat whites, steak sandwich and oysters! Will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Sussex!

Excellent little b&b in a gorgeous location, we spent two nights here and enjoyed local walks as well as easy access to Chichester and local sights. Staff are warm and friendly, and Jim the host is extremely welcoming with nothing being too much trouble. Comfy beds, good sized room and a perfect breakfast, what more can you ask for. Not forgetting the Desperate Dan sized Sunday roast!

Loved this place. My room had a four poster bed and a spacious bathroom, plus a coffee machine, TV and fridge. The new owner Jim was very friendly and made an excellent Full English breakfast. Would highly recommend.
