DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNTIL CHANGE IS IMPLEMENTED!This is now the morning after my wife was threatened by the (a) bouncer as she tried to re-enter the hotel to access our room (see hotel cc footage if available). My full review will be posted pending management’s response and consultation with law enforcement. As can be seen from another review listed here this problem is systemic with this establishment. They can either ignore it or assist in proper justice.ā€œFearā€ should be added to the meta-tags for this hotel as was the feeling communicated to me by my very professional and considerate partner. The fact that I’m reduced to posting this kind of review should be an indication of my level of indignation. I’m outraged. And the WiFi, as of this continued moment, does not work.On the upside, if one can be found after such an egregious experience, the breakfast was solid.****(real time update 11:50, 1/4/22)****After conveying all of the aforementioned at reception and checkout, we were simply advised to ā€œā€¦send an email.ā€No call by management. No attempt to see us in person as we made ourselves readily available throughout the business morning/day.My wife now has to relive the trauma in prose. So far, VERY unprofessional. This matter needs to immediately escalated.

Found this place by luck more than judgement. Was there from around 3 until 7. Nice beer watching the rugby on a big screen with AMAZING food courtesy of the pass. Honestly had a great afternoon, not too busy and happy hour until 6! I suspect people overlook this place during the day as they think it's a 'night' place.

Too noisy from pub. Room was clean but bit tired. Road noise was terrible. Wouldn’t stay again. Breakfast was lovely and staff lovely.

Had the most beautiful room, amazing breakfast and just a lovely place to be. Really good location and staff were lovely. Will be coming back 100%!

Lively and lovely. Breakfast poached eggs outstanding. Lively downstairs with quiz nights or a band while upstairs comfortable and spacious. The two biggies of bed (must be comfortable) and breakfast (good standard) are delivered here to the max. Returning for a night near Christmas for sure.

Nice, other reviews said it could be noisy, but we didn't notice it even when they had a evening of karaoke. Good breakfast. Only negative comment is it could have done with black out curtains in our room (3, front of building)

I had a lovely time staying two nights of the weekend. The room was big with a bath. The parking was easy. The breakfast was great. The staff are very helpful.

We stayed for 1 night on a Sunday.Parking arrangements were a little confusing as the information on Booking.com(which I booked through) is unspecific. The Vestry has allocated parking spaces for each room at the back of the venue which you can park in for free until 11am the following day. You are given a ticket on arrival to put in the car.Really good experience overall - check in was simple and as there has been nobody in the room the night before, we were allowed access a little earlier, which was much appreciated. The room itself was really spacious, clean and nicely lit. In-room tea and coffee facilities were good.Access to the hotel part of the building is via a separate door, so no need to walk through the pub part if you don't want to. I can't comment on noise as we were out late.Breakfast was a nice spread of fruit/pastries/cereal etc plus a cooked dish. All in all it was a surprisingly nice and luxurious-feeling place to stay and I would definitely stay again when visiting Chi.

Initial impression was "oh dear!" Set in a large chain type pub, with some quite loud clientele, the staff were great and check.in no problem. We were given room 11 which is at the back of the property. The room was quite, you could not hear the pub at all. It was a huge room, with a jacuzzi bath. Breakfast in the morning was great, served by an amazing young lady who was doing everything, but nothing was to much trouble. All in all a great stay and would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed for one night on Saturday. Super spacious room with a HUGE comfy bed. Very quiet despite being above a bar. Staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was satisfactory - we had vegetarian breakfasts. Good value for money and would stay again.
