I have to say that this has been one of the best places I have stayed in a very long time. The staff are so welcoming and helpful and the food is simply delicious. The rooms are immaculate with a very high standard - you can tell that the rooms a properly cleaned. I can't wait to stay again an upgrade to a hot-tub suite. Would recommend to anyone looking for a romantic night or a few away.

I've passed this pub many times but never been in until yesterday, when I wanted to go for a birthday lunch. Whilst some of the menu is pricey, all the food my wife and I had was delicious.I had the very simple yet tasty house bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar as a starter; the bread was fluffy, fresh and a very tasty. For mains I had the rump steak with peppercorn sauce, and whilst I would say it was more medium than medium rare (the photo makes it look more pink than it actually was), it was lovely, and the meat melted in the mouth. For afters I had the vanilla cheesecake, which was just as delectable as the other two courses, and my wife was equally impressed. The service was quick and efficient, plus the staff were very friendly. The venue is also decorated well - it's rustic, without feeling too dingy or old fashioned.Overall, very happy and I'd happily return.

Friendly service for Morher’s Day though no perks like a drink or a flower on the table. Our food arrived promptly but my roast potatoes were old and chewy and the Yorkshire was very overdone and dry. I asked for fresh potatoes which were brought out but they were just more of the same. I mentioned it to the waitress clearing who said she’d let the chef know but nothing was said or done and It seemed no one was bothered. An expensive meal at nearly £18 to only eat a few carrots, peas and lentils. My husband said the fish and chips were good but I felt really put off that the issues weren’t acknowledge so we won’t be returning. Added to which the service charge was automatically added to the bill too. I don’t like leaving poor reviews without giving a chance for things to be rectified, but here we are. A great opportunity missed as we used to love this pub.

Where do I start! I just had my 30th birthday at The White Horse and it was just phenomenal. I had the function room and it was decorated beautifully, the staff went above and beyond to make it special. I would highly recommend this lovely venue to everyone, the welcoming atmosphere, decor and the ambiance. I can’t wait to visit it again soon! Thank you!

What a little gem! We stopped for a quick bite to eat and ended up staying the night to save driving home, so glad we did! The food, accommodation and service could not be faulted in any way. Alisha (I hope I've spelt your name correctly!) was so helpful, passionate and could not do enough for every guest. The fresh milk on our doorstep was a lovely touch in the morning. We do hope to see you again soon. Would highly recommend.

Service was very slow.We turned up at 4:30pm sat at our table, then waited another 20mins for our drinks order to be taken. After finally being in there over an hour we received our drinks asked to order our food to then be told sorry we have ran out of roast dinners.Starter come out nearly 45minutes after the drinks came out then after having that, Our steak came out 1hour 10mins after to the fillet steak being over cooked.Another couple sat down at there table behind and wait for there drinks for over 30minutes.It used to be a brilliant place to go for a drink or food but it’s a shame it’s changed hands

Mixed experience. Service was very very slow and steak was extremely overcooked. However we happily received a fresh steak and it was removed from the bill. Generally great ambiance and tasty food. I think they may have just been understaffed due to covid - we would have understood completely but it would have been nice to be told this upon arrival.

Stayed recently in the hotel, spacious and tranquil it certainly isn't. Hot tub area definitely needs as clean and the dog waste bins need emptying. Steak was very poor, I challenge the chef to a cook off against my wife and a piece of fillet from Sainsbury's. Got my breakfast wrong and butter (when asked for) was straight from fridge. It has been mentioned before about the steak and having it re-cooked, it took long enough first time round, and why should I tell you it's poor?

Hands down the best pub I've ever visited. Been there many times over the last 5 years and each time it's perfect. Food is excellent, staff polite, friendly and attentive. Lovely upmarket pub but still relaxed enough to wear what you like. If you haven't been, drop everything and go. The only down side is no other pub is ever as good again.

Expected lovely experience that didn't disappoint. Traditional countryside pub with great attention given to the food. Haddock was tastefully light as opposed to laden in oil. Chips/fries similarly detailed. Expansive wine selection but I went for the local beer. Traditional as it may be, I was delighted to see at least two charge points for electric vehicles and I bet you can still tie up your horse out front. Friendly staff adds to it all!
