Food competitively priced, menu variety of dishes and desserts beautifully cooked and presented. Food gorgeous, very friendly service, very accomodating. Food good value for money all served promptly nice desert choises. Pub dog friendly .Very atmospheric by the fire place Thank you for a wonderful lunch for group of 6 on 9th April . Booking was promptly acknowledge and Charlotte was very helpful.

Ridiculously cosy pub in the heart of South Downs National Park. A good selection of beverages coupled with a sumptuous selection of locally sourced produce make this the perfect pitstop for cyclists and walkers alike. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to relax in a quintessentially English pub managed by a warm and friendly team.

Me and my husband had a date night planned for today Saturday 22nd January 2022, and decided on this place from finding it on google, it wasn't that far away from where we live and we liked their menu.We drove there, it was easy to find on google maps, parking was not an issue, walked straight in to be shown our table, given a menu and a minute to look through, we gave our drink and food order, very cosy, quiet country pub, got our drinks very fast and only waited 30 mins for our food.Well our food looked very nicely presented and looked delicious, we took photos, the staff were very attentive and asked us how our food was we told them the food was scrummy and delicious, we loved every bite full, when we were done we ordered desert and we didn't wait long for that took more photos, they were so nice.Our bill was a reasonable amount, we will be recommending their place to family and friends, we would eat there again

Lovely steak for me and yummy chicken pie for my partner. We loved the atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone. A gem in the middle of the countryside.
